School Accomplishments, continued His junior year, Steve was honored by representing Bedford HS at Wolverine Boys' State, sponsored by the American Legion. Late in his senior year, Adrian College pursued Steve for their college and athletic department, writing him a letter in May of 1954 that acknowledging his athletic accomplishments.

After Graduation Steve served his country four years in the United States Air Force. . He worked fourteen years as Director of Sales & Service Administrator for LaZBoy Chair Company. He honored his family very well; his parents and grandparents, children and friends. STARTING FIVE Nelson Osenbough, Jim Brondeberry, Howord Eff, Steve Morkos, John Rollmon, Mr. Eorly.

With only two seniors on the entire varsity squad, the basketball prospects for 1954-55 appear greatly improved.

The starting line-up for the present season as pictured above consisted of the two seniors, two juniors, and one sophomore. Captain Howard Eff, a small but extremely aggressive player, led the team in floor play; and Steve Markos, tallest of the Mules at 5' 11/1, was the squad's best board man.

John Rollman exhibited enough skill and promise this season through his versatility and at times his brilliant play, to stamp him as a truly fine ball player. Jim Brandeberry, playing primari Iy from the pivot position, and sophomre Nelson Osenbaugh, a driving type of ball player, rounded out the starting five. Breaking with the starting line-up on many occasions particularly through the second half of the season were, Sophomere Kent Kubitz and Juniors Ronald Boehme and Clayton Moon.

Also seeing a great deal of action were Niels Hansen, Tom Monroe, and Ronnie Snyder, moved up to the varsity from the reserves during the 2nd. semester.
