Becoming bold with big data How Australian organisations can boost their adoption of big data to help drive business success
Note to reader This survey was designed to understand perceptions and experience with big data. Reported difficulty of big data implementation as well as importance, challenges and benefits were also queried. In addition, the definition and scope of big data in the eyes of the respondent was explored.
For this reason, respondents from companies that had not completed at least one big data installation were not included in the study. By excluding those who have not completed a big data installation, there is a possibility that a bias exists with those who have had a more positive experience with big data.
The research was in field from February – April 2014. Findings were released on September 10, 2014.
