Accredited Gemologists Association has a rich history of connecting practicing gemologists with cutting edge gemological science, new gem finds, and issues facing the industry through timely and important presentations at conferences in Tucson and Las Vegas. For over 30 years AGA has worked to connect consumers with the gemological network and to ensure the public trust by working closely with the Federal Trade Commission during revision of Gems and Jewelry trade practice guidelines. AGA members have published many articles in national consumer and trade publications and have been featured in consumer-oriented TV segments focused on alerting the public to fraudulent products or practices within the marketplace. AGA has positioned itself as a bridge, connecting the Gem and Jewelry industry to future gemologists through creation of the AGA Gemological Scholarship program and to the Gemological Scientific community through the AGA Gemological Research Grant program.
