1. You will need a Google Account

2. Go to http://plus.google.com OR

3. Click on the +(Your Name)

Home This is your newsfeed. You can customize it by choosing which circles you’d

like to look at.

Home: My current tab within G+

All: Lets me know that I’m currently looking at content from everyone in all of

my circles.

Mentions: Lets you see your mentions

More: Links to more of my circles. You can choose to view any circle here.

Google Plus Tools Home: Your “newsfeed”

Profile: View and edit your profile page

People: Circles - personalized groups of friends, contacts,

family members...

Photos: Instant upload, sharing to specific circles

Collections: A new way to group your posts by topic

Communities: Groups you can belong to based on interest

Events: Use events to schedule Hangouts

Hangouts: Video conferencing (like Skype)

Pages: If you have a business you can connect with

customers

Settings: Set your G+ the way you want it.

About: Your “About Me” Page

Posts: Where people go to

see just your posts

Photos: Shows your photos

YouTube: Shows visitors your

YouTube videos

People (Circles) Find People: Find your friends, coworkers, classmates, and contacts here.

Have you in Circles: This who has already found you? Notice that you have

no idea what they’ve titled the circle they have you in

Your Circles: Customize your circles. Use the buttons for Relevance and

Action to customize the way this page is organized.

Discover: Use the Discover button to find

people/items of interest to follow.

Photos Store your photos here. You can use the auto backup feature.

Highlights: View highlights of your photos.

All Photos: View all of your photos. Even edit them just a bit.

Upload Photos: Add photos from your computer to Google+

Communities Communities are groups that you can join. It is a great way to connect with

other that have similar interests.

You can even create your own community.

Communities can have different privacy settings, depending

on the group. This is useful if you want to limit the community

to your school domain, or to some specific group of people.

Events Events is a great way to organize all the events in your life.

Plan a Hangout: This is similar to having a video

conference.

Create an Event: You can create an event for

yourself or your group here.

Hangouts Hangouts are group video chats.

A “Hangout on Air” is recorded and streamed through YouTube.

Some teachers use Hangouts for:

• office hours

• staff meetings

• activity planning

It’s a great way to meet when trying to coordinate schedules.
