Beaulieu Group visitors to Beaulieu in 2013 can see BOND IN MOTION, the world’s largest official exhibition of original Bond vehicles on display in the National Motor Museum until 5th January 2014. This collaboration between Eon productions and Beaulieu cele-brates 50 years of Bond and 40 includes Goldfinger’s Rolls Royce Phantom III and Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 from Gold-enEye. The motor vehicle collection in the National Motor Museum remains one of Beaulieu’s most famous attractions with over 250 on show, from World Land Speed Record Breakers and FI racers to early family cars of the 30s and 40s and modern classics of the 70s and 80s. Also wowing Beaulieu’s visitors is ‘World of Top Gear’, featuring actual vehicles created by presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May for some of their most ambitious challenges on the TV show over the years. In the Top Gear ‘Enormodrome’ visitors can watch an exclusive video presentation from behind-the-scenes at the Top Gear HQ with Jeremy, Richard and James plus clips from the show featuring the cars on display. Other exhibitions include the Secret Army Exhibition which tells the remarkable story of the Special Operations Executive and their training on the Beaulieu Estate during WWll. An audio visual display shows how the ‘Finishing School’ operated in total secrecy for four years. Not to be missed is Palace House, home of the Montagu family since 1538, and 13th century Beaulieu Abbey. There are many gardens to enjoy including the fragrant Victorian Flower Garden and Ornamental Kitchen Garden. A ride on the high-level Monorail gives a birds-eye view of the grounds, while the replica 1912 open-topped London Bus is a fun way to see the sights. Beaulieu’s themed tours for groups have always been very popular and the attraction also offers an award-winning educational programme. Visiting groups can have access to a superb lecture theatre and spacious classroom. Programmes are hosted by friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff and can be adapted to different age groups, needs and for particular interests.
