LOCATION AND ACCESS

The group is located in mid-western Walter's township and eastern Irwin township,

Beardmore-Jellicoe District, Thunder Bay Mining Division and is accessed by travelling east of

Beardmore, Ontario for approximately 22k to Hwy 801, then travelling north on Hwy 801 for 8k.

This road cuts through the eastern end of the claim group.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

The group consists of 14 Unpatented mining claims (20 units)

GEOLOGY

The meta-volcanics and meta-sedimentary rocks in the claim group area lie within the

early Precambrian, Superior province of the Canadian Shield and occur along the boundary

between two major East-trending lithological and structural units of the Superior Province.

Our claims lie just south of a major regional fault referred to as the Paint Lake Fault. A

splay or sympathy fault off the main structure to the north runs east-west through the southern

portion of the group and is the contact between the meta-volcanic to the north and the

mea-sediments to the south.

The geology of our group is characterized by massive to fine grained mafic volcanic flows.

There is a band of chlorite sericite and carbonate schist flanking the south portion of the group.

Quartz veins are common throughout the group.

The Bearskin claim group shows excellent potential for gold as the schistose rocks in the

southern part of the claim group indicate the close proximity of a major structural break along the

volcanic sedimentary contact. This is an important factor for gold within the

Beardmore-Geraldton belt. The Metalore deposit to the west is in a similar setting.

WORK REPORT

The 1998 OPAP program started with prospecting in an attempt to pick up the extension

of the gold bearing system discovered in last year's Trench #12. This was unsuccessful in both

directions; however, later in the program it was found that the strike projection we were working

on was just a local strike. The actual strike turned out to be N700, a Northeast trending break off

the main structure. Samples taken along this structure returned low gold values. This area was

flagged for stripping; however, access to these targets could not be located because of the

extremely rough terrain.

Don Hoy from FreeWest Resources was accompanied on a property visit. Very low

erratic values prevented FreeWest from entering into an option agreement.

Next, prospecting was concentrated in an area on TB1204964 near the old Sturgeon River

power line. A fairly wide, well silicified alteration zone was uncovered by hand stripping. The

zone is heavily mineralized with fine and coarse pyrite and minor chalcopyrite. The zone was

traced for over 400 feet east and approximately 200 feet west. The best exposure was drilled,

blasted and washed with high pressure pumps. Gerry White, Regional Geologist, MNDM,

Thunder Bay office visited the property on June 17, 1998. Samples taken from this zone and

assayed by MNDM returned low values in the range of .08 au oz/T.

Prospecting continued basically on strike of the power line occurrence. Access was

ribboned to a wide quartz vein with considerable chalcopyrite and galena just north of the grid.

This vein returned low numbers last season.

Many VLF signatures were prospected on the group; however, almost all of them were in

gullies and could not be explained. They were all ribboned for backhoe trenching.

George Chilian from Metalore Resources was accompanied on a property visit on

September 16.

The backhoe program had to be done in two phases due to prior commitments. The first

phase of trenching started on August 27 and continued through to September 13. The second ran

from October 8 to October 26. In total 34 trenches were put down on the property as well as a

new access route that was put in on the south part of the group.

All occurrences of any importance were completely stripped off, washed by use of high

pressure pumps, drilled, blasted and sampled.

Dave Kindla, a local prospector, was hired to assist with the washing and blasting as well

as some of the access routes. Pentti Lassila was hired to map the most important trenches. John

Mason and Jerry White, Regional Geologists, MNDM , attended the property to map the main

zones by use of GPS. Trenches #4, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 were tied in by GPS.

RESULTS

Colin Bowdidge, representing St. Anthony Resources visited and assessed the property

just before the first snow fall. Even though the gold values in Trench #4 were low and erratic, the

similarity to the Metalore deposit on strike to the west convinced them to start negotiations to

acquire the property. An Option agreement was signed on December 21 with a work

commitment of S260,000 over two years. 560,000 to be spent within the first six months by way

of line cutting, geophysics and backhoe stripping.

RECOMMENDATIONS

It is recommended that a closely spaced line cutting grid be established over the entire

property followed by a VLF survey. The grid, as it is now, is widely spaced ribbon lines at 75

metre intervals. Spacings at 25 metres would be much more accurate.

After the geophysics is complete, a good VLF man to pinpoint the targets should be used

along with a backhoe. All VLF targets should be investigated by the use of a backhoe especially

along strike of the heavily mineralized anomalous alteration zones stripped off this season. The

values in these zones are low and erratic; however, they do have the plumbing and this plumbing

can and will change along strike.

The Northeast trending break coming up from Trench #12 should be thoroughly

investigated. If access for a backhoe can not be found because of rough terrain, then possibly a

soil sampling program along with a closely spaced VLF survey could be done. This is very

important because this break does carry gold.

The final recommendation would be to drill at least one of the VLF signatures south of

Trench #12 that could not be reached with the backhoe. These targets should be close to the

sedimentary contact and would cut the wide carbonate zone in Trench #12. These conductors are

right on the main Bearskin break.
