This interpretive-guided Churchill adventure allows you to experience the excite-ment of polar bear viewing from a world-famous Tundra Buggy®, as well as enjoy

the eclectic charm of this unique Northern town.

The hotel-based Churchill Town & Tundra Enthusiast includes full-day Tundra Bug-gy safaris in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area - where polar bears await the freezing of the Hudson Bay—but also has ample time spent in town, offering the op-portunity to discover Churchill’s personality by exploring unique shops, family-run restaurants boasting delicious regional cuisine, and cultural museums that portray the historical importance of the area.

This adventure is ideal for guests who want to experience the wondrous charm of the town of Churchill while also spending days in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area, viewing Churchill’s incredible polar bears.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1 | Arrive in WinnipegArrive at your leisure in Winnipeg. Overnight at the Four Points Sheraton at the Winnipeg airport. Downtown Winnipeg is fifteen minutes away by taxi, for those interested.

Meet at 21:00 at the hotel for a group orientation.

Day 2 | Winnipeg to ChurchillMeet for coffee and snacks at the hotel; a repeat of the previous night’s orientation will take place for latecomers.

07h00: charter flight departure for Churchill (2–2.5 hours) — breakfast served on flight.

09h30: arrival in Churchill. A guided bus tour of local historical points of interest will explore attractions such as Cape Merry, Port of Churchill, and Manitoba Conversa-tion’s Polar Bear Holding Facility (weather permitting).

12h00: Lunch.

Afternoon: A stop at the Eskimo Museum will be followed by free time to check in and enjoy the hotel. The museum features one of Canada’s finest collections of Inuit carv-ings, kayaks, and artifacts dating from pre-Dorset, Dorset, Thule, and modern Inuit times.

Overnight: Churchill Hotel

Day 3 | Tundra Buggy AdventureToday will be spent in a Tundra Buggy with an expert local guide, viewing polar bears and other Arctic wildlife. The best way to experience an intimate encounter with a wild polar bear is on an authentic Tundra Buggy. All of our vehicles are furnished with dualpane frost-free windows and contain propane heating systems that closely reseble

The day concludes with an evening slide show conduct-ed by seasoned residents of the area. Relax and soak up years of northern experience, enchanting stories, and magnificent photography.

Day 4 | Dog Sledding ExcursionIn the morning, you will learn about the history of Ca-nadian dogsledding form a local resident and sledding expert. This is followed by an exhilarating ride with a husky team on a custom-made sled (or cart, weather permitting). Join the mushers for hot chocolate and fresh bannock after your ride and hear stories of sled-ding adventures across the continent. During the after-noon you will step back in time to view detailed and exciting wildlife dioramas and fur trade exhibits at the Parks Canada Interpretive Centre. View a series of vid-eos on the history, culture, and wildlife of the area.

Day 5 | Tundra Buggy and WinnipegToday features another excursion via Tundra Buggy, including a picnic-style lunch and final opportunities for bear watching.
