Future ERP moves collaborative aspects of business processes to the center.
Latest ERP-Systems (ERP II) allow for new web-based business scenarios, reaching beyond corporate and system boundaries. They are in line with collaboration of various process parties.
Direct involvement of business partners and customers with corporate business processes generates enterprises tremendous time- and thus cost savings. Due to this fact a growing number of ERP providers focuses on web-compatible and web-based products.

Integration Integration-middleware has to be able to link user data, processes and application company-wide
Openness Open standards such as HTTP, XML, Web-Services etc. facilitate processing of diverse information and applications in heterogeneous IT-landscapes
Integrated Analyses Integrated Business Intelligence functionalities for up-to date reports based on operational data within ERP-System – not just per end of month or quarter
