Simple Loop
Use flat pliers to make a 90 degree bend at least from the end of the wire.
Use round-nose pliers to grasp the wire after thebend;
Roll the pliers toward but not to past it, topreserve the 90 degrees bend.
Use thumb to continue the wrap around the noseof the pliers.
Trim the wire next to the bend. Open a simple loop just as you would a jump ring.

STRINGING/KNOTTING ANECKLACE/BRACELET
Before you begin, decide how longyou want it to be.
A long necklace should hang no
longer than your waist. A medium necklace is between 20-27 inches
A choker is 14-18 inches. Add 3 inches on each side of thenecklace to allow for knotting.

LINKING BEADS Eye pins are ideal for linking beads together
because they already have a preformed loop inone end.
Use short pins for single beads and longer onesfor group beads.
Slide the beads onto each pin, trim the wireand turn a loop just as you would with a headpin.
To link the beads together, use jump rings oropen up a loop on the pin and join to the next
loop. Make sure you close the loops securely or theywill come undone when you wear them.

FINISHING TECHNIQUES
How you finish a necklace/braceletcan make or break your design.
To get a truly professional look, usefindings.
End knots can look ugly and need tobe disguised.
Crimp is usually sufficient.
Once you have successfully concealedthe knots, complete thenecklace/bracelet with a clasp.
