• Former campsites, trade routes, or other historically significant areas have the best chance of hiding precious metals or other artifacts.

• Fields that lack history, but still attract a lot of foot traffic, such as parks and campgrounds, are also good places to search.

What to Do with Your Finds

• Many metal detecting enthusiasts enjoy researching the history of the objects they find and displaying noteworthy items.
