Guatemala y Nicaragua avanzan a semifinal, Costa Rica en femenino sigue invicta  San José, Costa Rica. 06 de marzo 2013. Las parejas de Guatemala y Nicaragua avanzaron a  la  semifinal  del  torneo  de  voleibol  de  playa  masculino,  mientras  las  costarricenses Nathalia Alfaro/Ingrid Morales  sigue  sumando  triunfos  en  el  torneo  femenino  ahora  con récords 6‐0 en victorias y derrotas.  Los guatemaltecos Andy Leonardo/Luis García terminaron invictos con cinco triunfos y 10 puntos,  al  imponerse  a  los  hermanos  Villegas,  Gilberto  y  Alexander,  de  Costa  Rica,  por retiro  de Alexander  debido  a  una  lesión  en  la  rodilla,  cuando  se  jugaba  el  tercer  set  con marcador 11‐9 a favor de Leonardo/García. El primer set fue para los locales 21‐19, pero cayeron en el segundo 11‐21.  Gerald Umaña/Henry Hernández, de Nicaragua,  lograron dos  triunfos que  le permitieron cerrar con 4‐1, con nueve puntos, al vencer a Morataya/Godoy, de Belice, 2‐0 (21‐08, 21‐10) y a Vega/Izaguirre, de Honduras, 2‐0 (21‐15, 21‐15).  Tanto  guatemaltecos  como  nicaragüenses  avanzaron  directamente  a  la  semifinal,  donde esperarán  a  los  ganadores  de  las  series  de  cuartos  de  final  entre  Carlos  Escobar/David Vargas,  de  El  Salvador,  ante  Morataya/Godoy,  mientras  los  hermanos  Villegas  van  ante Vega/Izaguirre, de Honduras.  Escobar/Vargas, aseguraron el tercer lugar con registros de 3‐2 y ocho puntos, al vencer a Vega/Izaguirre,  2‐0  (21‐19,  21‐10),  y  a  Morataya/Godoy,  2‐0  (21‐14,  21‐19).  Villegas/Villegas terminaron con 2‐3, Honduras con 1‐4 y Belice 0‐5.  En  femenino, Nathalia Alfaro/Ingrid Morales  vencieron  a Diana Romero/María Fernanda Vargas,  de  El  Salvador  2‐0  (21‐13,  21‐09),  y  luego  a  Martha  Euceda/Gina  Flores,  de Honduras 2‐0 (21‐10, 21‐13) sumando seis triunfos sin reveses.  Guatemala,  con  Ana  Ramírez/Ingrid  López  se  consolidó  en  el  segundo  lugar  con  cuatro victorias y dos derrotas, al ganar primero a Elia Torrez/Swan Mendoza, de Nicaragua 2‐0 (21‐19, 21‐16) y sobre las hondureñas Euceda/Flores 2‐0 (21‐13, 21‐09).  Torrez/Mendoza quedaron con 3‐3 al vencer a  las salvadoreñas Romero/Vargas 2‐0 (21‐13, 21‐17).  Las mujeres jugarán este jueves la última jornada clasificatoria para definir las llaves de las semifinales. Las posiciones son: CRC 6‐0, GUA 4‐2, NCA 3‐3, ESA 2‐4, HON 0‐6
