Building  Energy  is  a  three  day  conference  planned  and  facilitated  by  NESEA  members  and  Staff  

It’s  purpose  is  to  engage,  inform,  and  connect  professionals  whose  work  is  involved  with  the  sustainable  use  of  energy  in  the  built  environment  

Building  Energy  aAracts  pracBBoners  from  a  broad  spectrum  of  professional  fields,  with  diverse  interests,  levels  of  experience  and  technical  knowledge.  They  have  in  common  a  desire  to  think  clearly,  and  then  act.

Some  are  new  to  the  field  

Building  Energy  assembles  and  presents  the  most  current,  relevant,  and  reliable  content  in  a  diverse  mix  of  sessions  organized  within  topical  tracks.  

People  are  ini+ally  a-racted  to  specific  topics  and  content  relevant  to  their  work.  

Building  Energy  engages,  informs,  and  connects  this  community  once  a  year  for  a  period  of  three  days.  

During  the  conference  people  experience  the  diversity  of  the  content,  connect  with  each  other,  and  expand  their  capacity  to  act  effec+vely.  

People  leave  Building  Energy  with  a  sense  of  connecBon  and  a  shared  idenBty  as  NESEA  members.  

As  Bme  passes  that  sense  of  connecBon  and  idenBty  may  begin  to  fade.  

Some  stay  involved.  Others  begin  to  driC  away  as  they  return  to  their  work  and  lives.  

Occasional  NESEA  events  and  communicaBon  may  capture  aAenBon  and  re-­‐engage  some  members.  

Some  lose  touch,  lose  connec+ons,  or  lose  their  sense  of  iden+ty  as  NESEA  community  members.
