Welcome to another issue of Be Inspired.

At Travel Counsellors, we believe that putting together a trip is almost as fun as travelling itself. After all, life’s ups and downs are much easier to weather when you’ve got a holiday on the horizon.

We love to make travel dreams happen and Be Inspired is an important part of the trip planning process. As you flick through the pages of this magazine, keep note of all those destinations that draw you in and stoke your curiosity.

From Thailand to Portugal, Egypt, Italy and beyond, this issue proves the world is your oyster. It also demonstrates the variety of ways you can get around while travelling. Perhaps this is the year you embark on a slow-paced European river cruise? Or lace up your boots for a walking holiday in the UK? Maybe a luxury rail journey in Canada is more your thing? Of course, you could always jump on a small boat and sail the Mediterranean with your family. The options are endless.

Apart from spotlighting trending destinations, we’ve also included a list of handy travel apps to make life easier on the road, a round-up of wellness holiday options and a cautionary tale on the importance of taking out travel insurance.

Whether you’re planning a family holiday or solo break – we hope this issue of Be Inspired lives up to its name. Wherever you want to go, whatever you want to do, Travel Counsellors can make it happen. We’d love to hear from you next time you’re planning a trip.

T ired of rushing during your holidays? Are you more interested in immersing yourself in a destination rather

than just ticking off places you’ve visited? A walking holiday might be for you!

Experiencing a destination on foot is one of the best ways to slow down, tune in and truly get to know a place. Here are some top walks to add to your list:

Abel Tasman Coast Track, New ZealandThis stunning, 60km stretch of track showcases the lush forests, golden beaches, crystal-clear rock pools and spectacular bays that New Zealand is known for. While many visitors choose to walk the entire track end-to-end, others opt to dip in and out of the track, completing sections at their own pace before catching a water taxi to their hotel.

Grindelwald, SwitzerlandThe Swiss alpine hub of Grindelwald may live in the shadow of the Eiger, but you don’t need to be a serious mountain climber to take advantage of the trails scattered throughout the

surrounding countryside. Using the magical mountain village of Grindelwald as a base, you can easily enjoy solo day hikes along the many sign-posted trails that reveal picture-postcard scenery, then retreat to a chalet-style hotel or lodge for a spa or sauna session.

Yosemite National Park, USAMore than 1200km of walking trails make California’s Yosemite National Park one of America’s most popular spots for nature-lovers. Accessible by car, many of the established

trails lead straight to dramatic waterfalls, groves of giant trees, alpine meadows, towering peaks and wildflower-filled valleys. Wildlife is a drawcard here, with woodpeckers, owls, falcons, black bears, and big horn sheep all calling Yosemite home.

The Cotswolds, EnglandOne of England’s most enchanting regions, the Cotswolds area is perfect for a slow-paced walking holiday. Whether you go for a leisurely ramble or test yourself on a longer trail, the green, rolling hills and patchwork farmland offers a picturesque backdrop for a journey on foot. Villages filled with charming inns and guesthouses mean you’re never far from a warm bed, pint of ale and hearty meal.

Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania A part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, this national park has some of Australia’s best walking trails. Take a short walk through old-growth rainforest, stroll around Lake St Clair, or test yourself by climbing Cradle Mountain (the views are a worthy reward for the effort). Self-sufficient walkers with experience taking on longer walks will relish tackling the Overland Track.

The Camino de Santiago, EuropeAlso known as The Way of St   James, many a foot has trodden on this well-known pilgrimage route that stretches across several European countries, ending in Spain. Dating back to the Middle Ages, many travellers dedicate months to completing the entire 800km walk, yet others opt to walk a section or two of the trail. A deeply spiritual journey, ‘The Way’ is on many bucket lists for a good reason.

Destination

FlavourO ne of the best parts of travelling is discovering the

food scene of wherever you’re visiting. From joining a cooking class, to going on a street food tour, booking into that must-visit restaurant and wandering through food markets, there are plenty of inventive ways to experience the cuisine of a region.

Want to indulge your tastebuds on your next trip? Put these famous food cities on your list:

TokyoHome to an extraordinary number of Michelin-star restaurants, you’ll never run out of places to eat in Tokyo. Enjoy the sense of ceremony that comes with sitting down to a traditional kaiseki meal, bar hop around the Golden Gai district of Shinjuku, sip strong coffee in a hip café in Shimokitazawa, try novelty sweets in Harajuku and order a bowl of hot ramen from a vending machine. The Tokyo food scene is seriously fun!

New OrleansKnown as ‘The Big Easy’, New Orleans is one of the best places to eat and drink in the USA. Fans of Cajun flavours will love trying regional dishes such as gumbo, po-boys and jambalaya, while bar hoppers will have fun staying up late drinking New Orleans’ iconic

cocktail, the Hurricane, at one of the many bars on Bourbon Street. Add a smattering of live jazz and you’ve got yourself a party!

DelhiA favourite destination with vegetarians and vegans, Delhi’s buzzing food scene delivers everything from cheap street eats to decadent, multi-course banquets fit for a maharajah. Join a cooking class to master classic dishes

such as dahl and palak paneer, go on a guided tour of the centuries-old spice market, and join a street food tour to find the best spots to eat in the city.

Bangkok A dream destination for hungry travellers on a budget, Bangkok’s food scene is the stuff of legend. Whether you’re grabbing some pad thai at an open-air market or sitting down to a steaming bowl of noodle soup at a family-owned restaurant, Bangkok’s cooks pack huge amounts of flavour into their dishes thanks to liberal use of chilli, pepper, kaffir lime, and lemongrass.

LimaAn emerging giant on the fine dining scene, Peru’s capital has several world-leading, upscale restaurants. So what’s on the menu? As a coastal city, Lima is a top spot to eat seafood, with the national dish of ceviche (raw fish served with lemon juice, chilli, onion and fresh herbs) found everywhere from upscale hotel restaurants to humble, family-run eateries.

ParisA city that knows how to enjoy the finer things in life, Paris is arguably the ultimate place to indulge in wine, cheese and pastries. In the morning, sit in a café and enjoy a coffee and croissant as you watch the world go by. At lunchtime, grab a baguette to-go and eat it in a

leafy park. By night, savour a glass (or two) of Burgundy’s finest drops in a neighbourhood bar before heading to an upscale bistro for some classic French fare served with flair.

C ulinary traditions that have stood for centuries collide with modern influences in Japan. From Tokyo’s thriving

restaurant scene, to Kyoto’s traditional tea houses and Kobe’s world-renowned delicacies, the Land of the Rising Sun is prime territory for a food safari.

Days 1 – 3 TokyoJet into Tokyo and enjoy a few fun days immersing yourself in the capital’s eclectic dining scene. Visit quirky cafes that follow a wide range of cute themes such as Peter Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland. Join a cooking class to learn how to make soba noodles and other Japanese classics. Be amazed by the variety of foods available in upmarket department store food halls – you’ll find everything from delicate handmade chocolates to pretty cakes. By night, wander down alleys to find jazz clubs, karaoke lounges and whisky bars.

Days 4 – 6 OsakaCatch a notoriously punctual bullet train to Osaka, a favourite city with foodies from all around the world. Before boarding the train, be sure to stock up on ekiben (boxed meals sold

at railway stations) to enjoy an authentic meal unique to Japan’s transit system. In Osaka, you’ll find everything from takoyaki (battered octopus balls) to okonomiyaki (savoury pancakes filled with cabbage). Join a food tour with a local guide to learn more about Osaka’s culinary history, enjoying delicious treats along the way.

Days 7 – 8 KobeLess than an hour from Osaka, the famed home of Kobe beef is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys a quality cut of steak. This small city is home to many teppanyaki restaurants, so find one to see a chef cook some tender, marbled Kobe beef right in front of you. As a top sake producing region, this is also a good place to enjoy a traditional Japanese tipple. Head to the Nada district where more than 40 sake breweries keep the centuries-old sake-making tradition alive in Japan.

Days 9 – 10 KyotoCatch the train from Kobe to Kyoto to visit tea houses, temples and ryokans. The former capital of Japan is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful stay in a traditional ryokan. Many ryokans also serve meals, so treat yourself to an unforgettable kaiseki dinner. Matched to the season, kaiseki is a multi-course taste sensation, crafted with care by a dedicated chef. To see an ancient ritual in the flesh, attend a tea ceremony to learn about the history of tea in Japan and enjoy a brew. Home to many Buddhist temples, vegetarian food is popular in Kyoto, with tofu featuring in many dishes. Visit the Nishiki Market where you’ll find everything from fresh fruit stalls to sushi eateries. Before returning home, stock up on sweet treats – Japan’s limited edition Kit Kat flavours are a tasty souvenir.

K nown for its towering skyscrapers and incredible harbour, there’s more to Hong Kong than meets the eye.

bowls each day (to ensure the quality remains high) so get in early! Visit Tim Ho Wan for one of the cheapest Michelin-star meals in the world. For a retro dining experience, head to Flying Eagle for throwback dishes like German-style pork knuckle.

Spend a day wandering around Sham Shui Po and you’ll leave with a new appreciation of Hong Kong’s inimitable culture, cuisine and community.

Ethical experiences Elephants are one of the most revered animals in the world, yet they aren’t always treated as they should be. At Elephant Hills, guests are free to watch, interact with and spend time in the presence of the elephants in a way that ensures the welfare of the elephants isn’t comprised. Instead of riding the gentle giants or getting them to perform tricks, Elephant Hills has devised enriching experiences that allow guests to witness the majesty of elephants without harming them. As a chain-free elephant camp that meets animal welfare standards, Elephant Hills is the ultimate choice for animal-loving travellers who want to feed, bathe and learn about elephants – not ride them.

Amenities all roundJust because you’re surrounded by nature, doesn’t mean you have to give up all the amenities that make for a winning holiday. Guests love slipping into the swimming pool to cool off amid stunning views of the surrounding limestone cliffs. A semi-open-air restaurant provides fresh fare using herbs, tropical fruits and other home grown ingredients from the local garden. The bar is the perfect place to unwind with a cool beer after a long day out exploring the rainforest, while the fire pit area is a top spot to gather at night to stargaze and swap stories with other guests from all over the world who have been drawn to Elephant Hills.

W hile most of us don’t like to think about getting injured while travelling, the reality is that it may happen

to you. Accidents happen, and if you’re far from home an accident can be very costly (not to mention stressful) if you’re uninsured.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re going on a ski trip to the Swiss Alps or a beach break in Bali, being covered with travel insurance is an absolute must.

Jennifer’s story highlights the importance of having adequate travel insurance coverage, no matter where you go:

Setting Sail to Antarctica Like many other adventurous travellers, Jennifer and Mark were excited to embark on a dream voyage to Antarctica via Easter Island, Chile and the Falkland Islands. Cruising this part of the world is on many bucket lists, but it’s not without dangers.

Stormy WeatherWhen a storm hit the vessel Jennifer and Mark were travelling in, the ship rolled with force, sending Jennifer down a flight of stairs. From seasickness to headaches, minor complaints do occur aboard ships, but Jennifer’s injuries were classified as severe, so assistance was immediately called for.

The DamageAfter being assessed by the ship’s doctor, the decision was made to evacuate Jennifer for treatment. Being in such a remote part of the world presented many challenges, but the ship’s team worked with Cover-More to ensure that Jennifer was safely transported to a place where she could receive the treatment she needed.

Treatment TimeSpending three days in a cabin on IV fluids and pain relief, Jennifer was transported to King George Island where she was strapped to a stretcher and loaded onto a zodiac boat by a crane. She was then transferred by truck to a landing strip where a plane was waiting to fly her to Punta Arenas, Chile. Once in Chile, an ambulance drove Jennifer to a private hospital where she was diagnosed with 12 fractures, including both arms, left ankle, knee, leg and spine. A trauma surgeon performed four operations over two weeks, and after three weeks in hospital, Jennifer was fit to fly home.

Returning HomeCover-More’s medical team escorted Jennifer to the airport, and onto connecting flights to Brisbane via New Zealand. 10 seats were removed from the plane so Jennifer could make the journey on a stretcher. While Jennifer has a long road ahead, she is expected to recover fully and travel once again in the future.

The Cost Thanks to being insured with Cover-More, more than $700,000 of medical and transport costs were claimed by Jennifer and Mark. The process of being transported from a remote part of the world was handled expertly by the Cover-More team, relieving the stress of being seriously injured so far from home. In this case, Jennifer and Mark’s insurance with Cover-More proved to be priceless.

A n iconic holiday spot that has welcomed travellers for centuries, a journey through southern Italy never goes

out of style. Perfect for sun-loving beach goers, art lovers, history buffs, and travellers with an appetite for pasta, pizza, gelato, cheese and wine, this eleven-day itinerary offers the chance to be immersed in what makes this corner of Italy so special.

Days 1 – 5 SorrentoTouch down in Rome where a driver awaits to transfer you straight to Rome’s central station to catch a high speed train to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, another driver will whisk you away to a four-star hotel located in the pretty coastal town of Sorrento. The ideal base to explore the Amalfi Coast region, Sorrento’s clifftop location offers incredible views over the Bay of Naples. Use your free time to wander through the atmospheric streets filled with colourful buildings and shops selling everything from gelato to limoncello. If you have time, head off on a boat to witness the immense beauty of Capri. A scheduled, guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii isn’t to be missed while visits to a rustic vineyard and farm to taste olives, smallgoods and wine are also included in your Sorrento stay.

Days 6 & 7 PalermoEnjoy a private transfer to Naples Airport to catch a flight to Palermo, where another driver awaits to transport you to your hotel. Get acquainted with Sicily’s legendary food scene on a street food tour that takes in some of the city’s best culinary hot spots. Visit centuries-old markets, learn about regional dishes and taste delights like cannoli and sweet wine. In your free time, visit Palermo’s stunning cathedrals and churches, breathe in some fresh air while wandering along the seafront and find a small bar to enjoy ‘aperitivo hour’ in.

Days 8 – 11 CefalùJourney from Palermo to a picturesque winery to learn about local wine production techniques and taste some of the drops made by talented Sicilian winemakers. Afterwards, be transferred to the distinctive medieval town of Cefalù. Over the years, this fascinating town has been settled by the Greeks, Romans, Normans, and Byzantines, so a huge variety of influences can be found in the food, architecture and religion of modern day Cefalù. As a longstanding fishing village, Cefalù is still a top spot to eat seafood, so be sure to try marinated anchovies, sardines, oysters, octopus and squid ink pasta. Surrounded by turquoise water, spend time lazing on the sandy beaches considered some of Italy’s best. After eleven days being immersed in the culture, gastronomy and history of southern Italy, say ‘arrivederci’ to Sicily and be transferred to Palermo Airport for your flight to Rome.

Golden beaches, character-filled towns and epicurean

delights make Italy’s south a supreme holiday destination.

Many people are trading in their hedonistic holidays

filled with cocktails, burgers and late-nights for a

wellness break that boosts their mind, body and spirit.

W ellness holidays are certainly booming, as more and more travellers look to

spend their annual leave relaxing and nourishing themselves.

Here are five types of wellness breaks to consider for your next holiday:

Health retreat Whether you’re dealing with chronic stress, digestive issues, or insomnia, a health retreat can offer a relaxing break that also provides real health benefits. Keen to embrace a healthier diet? Try a retreat in Bali and Thailand that serves organic foods, juices and smoothies. Keen to have a break from caffeine and/or alcohol? Try a retreat centre that ensures no coffee, soft drinks or alcohol are available. Instead of returning from your holiday tired and bloated, you’ll arrive home happy, healthy and rested.

Digital DetoxIt’s difficult to let go when your smartphone pings day and night. Going off-the-grid is a clever way to avoid the temptation of scrolling through Instagram or checking work emails. Meditation retreats in places like Bhutan and Northern India are popular with spiritual types, while an off-the-grid, boutique hotel stay in remote parts of Canada, Alaska, Patagonia and Western Australia are suited to luxury lovers in need of a digital detox.

Active AdventurePrefer to stay active during your break? Retreats that combines multiple activities such as surf and yoga are popular in destinations such as Bali, Sri Lanka, Southern India, Portugal and Australia,

and are suitable for everyone from beginners to seasoned pros. If spending your mornings doing downward dog, afternoons catching a few waves and nights meditating sounds like bliss, then try a yoga and surf break – you’ll come home tanned, toned and tuned in to your inner voice.

Spa SessionSpa holidays are growing in popularity for a good reason – who wouldn’t want to spend their holiday on massage tables and in hot springs? An indulgent break that will see you returning home with glowing skin, there are many spa hot spots around the world. Japan’s onsens and ryokans (traditional guesthouses) specialise in relaxing beauty treatments, while Hungary is home to hundreds of mineral-rich thermal baths. In Australia, Victoria has the highest concentration of natural springs in the country, with everything from boutique mineral spa hotels to public bathhouses making it easy to enjoy a spa break without leaving the country.

Bootcamp BreakTravellers up for a challenge can whip themselves into shape on their next break. From training with a Muay Thai champion in Thailand, to joining on a gruelling group hiking trip in California, and signing up for a fitness boot camp in Spain, there are many centres and programs around the world that cater for travellers who align their fitness goals with their holidays.

K een to experience an enriching wellness holiday in Bali? Here’s how to spend 10 days renewing your mind, body

and spirit in Bali:

Days 1 – 3: CangguHome to many luxe, beachside resorts that specialise in running wellness programs, the chilled out area of Canggu is the ideal spot to start your wellness break. Choose to join a structured surf and yoga retreat where you can learn the basics of both pursuits, or check into a hotel then schedule your own sessions with local yoga and surf schools. With many juice bars and organic eateries in the area, choose to fuel your activities with wholesome smoothie bowls, cold-pressed juices, vegan meals and protein shakes. Prefer a slow-paced break? Long walks on the beach and swimming laps of the resort pool are just what the doctor ordered.

Days 4 – 6: Ubud After enjoying a few days of beach time in Canggu, enjoy a private transfer up to the emerald-hued hills of Ubud. Some of the best temples in Bali are found in Ubud, so if you’re interested in eastern spirituality, this is the place to find inner peace. With many retreat centres scattered throughout this picturesque part of Bali, you won’t have any trouble finding a place to call home for a few days. Whether you stay in a rustic, traditional bungalow made out of timber, a low-key eco-lodge with shared facilities or a more modern resort with all the mod-cons, this is the place to cultivate a daily meditation practice and immerse yourself in your surroundings without the modern distractions of the big cities.

Days 7 – 10: Seminyak Return to the coast via a private transfer and enjoy a three night spa-break in one of Seminyak’s luxury beach resorts. The perfect way to complete your wellness break, a relaxing stay in a luxe suite or private villa is a fitting finale to your Bali journey. With nothing serious on the agenda, choose to laze by the resort pool under the shade of an umbrella, read a book in a hammock under a tree, or find a local yoga studio offering casual, drop-in classes. Seminyak has a plethora of spas to choose from, so schedule yourself in for a full body massage, flower petal bath, sauna session or all of the above. After ten days of putting your health first, you’ll be sure to return home with a post-holiday glow like no other!

E X P E R I E N C E8 Days cruising the best of

CroatiaFrom $2,299* per person

T hey say that good things come in small packages and this is certainly true when it comes to micro cruising.

Whether it’s hugging the glittering coastline of Croatia, island-hopping in Greece, slowly sailing down the Mekong or forging past ice floes in Alaska, micro cruising aboard a small vessel is proving to be a popular way for travellers to see the world in a truly unique way.

No matter if you’re a frequent cruiser or a new convert, a micro cruise offers many benefits that you don’t get when cruising on big ships.

Not sure if micro cruising is for you? Here’s what to expect:

Out-of-the-ordinary vesselsWhen you’re micro cruising, chances are you’ll be aboard a vessel with a strong personality, quirky features and fascinating origins. From stepping aboard a majestic tall ship, to setting sail on a traditional junk, hopping on a river barge or boarding a tug boat, there’s a huge variety of unique, small vessels available to cruise destinations like France, Alaska, Fiji, Greece, Burma and beyond.

Fewer crowdsCruising aboard a big ocean liner generally involves pulling into a huge, busy port after spending many days at sea. Offering a totally different experience, a micro cruise allows you to stop in at smaller port towns and out-of-the-way places. Smaller vessels are more nimble and less restricted in where they can go, meaning you can anchor in small bays, sail into secluded inlets, navigate down narrow rivers and stop at less frequented towns.

Deeper friendshipsSmaller vessels give you the opportunity to really get to know other cruisers. Unlike sharing a massive ship with thousands of other passengers, a micro cruise is a more intimate experience. Giving you the chance to form strong connections with people from around the world, going on a micro cruise is more than just taking a holiday, it’s joining a friendly community at sea.

Personalised optionsWhether you’re planning a family reunion or special group trip to celebrate a milestone birthday, it’s possible to charter a small, crewed vessel for private use. Vessel options range from one to seventy cabins, so no matter if you’re travelling as a couple or with a big group of extended family and friends, a private micro cruise is an option worth considering.

Connection to nature Large cruise liners with casinos, night clubs, theatres and multiple restaurants offer many distractions. While fun, it’s easy to forget that there’s a big world out there waiting to be discovered. Aboard a smaller vessel you can do things you couldn’t do on big ships. From jumping off a yacht straight into a lagoon in Croatia, to stepping off a boat onto an white sand beach in the Maldives and waving to kids playing on the riverbanks in Vietnam, your connection to the world around you is boosted when micro cruising.

Considering adding a micro cruise to your travel plans? Ask your Travel Counsellor about the 100+ destinations you can explore aboard a small boat.

O ccupying a huge land mass, travellers have plenty of territory to cover while journeying through China.

Joining an organised tour is one of the best ways to ensure your trip runs smoothly and you make the most of your time in this intriguing destination.

An 11-day tour taking in four major cities will lead you to many of China’s biggest drawcards, as well as some of the country’s lesser-known corners. From walking atop the imposing Great Wall, to diving into sprawling cities and gliding past jungle-fringed mountains while river cruising, this trip shows the many different places and faces that make up contemporary China. Highlights include:

BeijingA visit to the Forbidden City reveals the place where the Ming and Qing dynasties ruled centuries ago, while a trip to Tiananmen Square offers a chance to reflect on one of modern history’s most poignant moments. Exploring Beijing’s old-world hutongs on foot is like stepping back in time to another era, and sitting down to a Peking duck feast is a timeless culinary moment best experienced in Beijing.

XianA personal guided tour of the Terracotta Warriors is one of the best ways to understand the history behind the famous army of foot soldiers, cavalry and generals that was created more than 2,200 years ago. Standing still in a vast formation of more than 8,000 statues, the army has entranced the world since being rediscovered by farmers in 1974.

GuilinA visit to the famous Reed Flute Cave showcases stunning stalactites, otherworldly pillars and rock formations that have taken about 180 million years to form. Now decorated with bright colourful lights, the caves represent a fantastical world and are a must-see while in China. Nearby, a cruise down the Li River is a peaceful way to see the scenic mountains and lush jungle this corner of the world is known for.

Shanghai Wandering along the Bund (a waterfront promenade lined with colonial-era buildings, temples and gardens) offers a completely different view of the city in comparison to the futuristic skyline studded with sleek skyscrapers. Venturing through the alleys of Xintiandi gives you a firsthand look into local life. A fun visit to watch the energetic acrobats at the Shanghai Circus will amaze and mesmerise you.

M ore and more people are jetting off each year, and at the same time thousands of travel websites have

popped up offering cheap deals. But what’s the real price of booking online? Many travellers have found out the hard way that some online travel deals aren’t all they appear to be. From hotel rooms that look nothing like the website images, to being charged extortionate cancellation fees, booking online is risky.

Booking with a reputable travel agent offers many benefits that websites don’t. Here’s why booking with Travel Counsellors is a better option:

Transparency Booking travel online may seem convenient and cheap, but if you look at the fine print you’ll find many hidden fees. Low-cost airline tickets may seem appealing, but if you’re paying a premium to book a seat, buy a meal, check in luggage and access inflight entertainment, most cheap airfares don’t stack up. Many aggregate websites offering cheap hotel rooms have been exposed for having shady practices like huge cancellation fees, inaccurate information and non-existent customer service when things go wrong.A travel agent offers more transparency, with agents only recommending trusted hotels and activities, and taking care of any booking changes for you.

Financial ProtectionEach year many Australian holidaymakers are let down by unethical companies that take their booking (and money) and then disappear, providing no holiday and no refund. While not common, airlines can collapse and leave passengers with tickets that are worthless. With bookings made via a

Travel Counsellor being fully financially protected, you’ll never be left in the lurch. If a tour operator, airline or hotel unexpectedly closes or goes bankrupt, you’ll receive a full refund and also have someone working round-the-clock to rebook your trip.

Expert Advice Booking online can be a real minefield. A hit or miss experience that usually eats up hours of your time, trawling through online listings is a thankless task. When booking with a Travel Counsellor, you get access to a dedicated, experienced travel professional. They’ll make recommendations of top places to stay, connect you with

exclusive deals and provide help when an emergency strikes. This level of service not only saves you time

and money, it also makes for a better holiday.

Personalised ServiceGoing above and beyond is what Travel

Counsellors are all about. If you book your travel online, you’ll receive very little customer service (if

any), but with Travel Counsellors you will be treated to a personalised experience. From personally delivering your travel documents, to receiving a welcome home text, Travel Counsellors love nothing more than delivering an exceptional customer service experience. Whether you’re booking a complicated, round-the-world airfare, making arrangements to travel as a big group, or travelling with special needs children, Travel Counsellors are adept at bringing travel dreams alive – no matter how complex. This is something websites can’t compete with, and the reason thousands of Australians choose Travel Counsellors.

With many travel websites hiding murky conditions and hidden fees,

booking with a professional, fully-insured travel agent is a wise choice.
