classroom presentations and participate in career fairs. In addition, employers are welcome to partner with Career Services staff and participate in mock interviews, résumé reviews and other events designed to enhance career development. Below are descriptions of services available to employers.

AggieCAREER Manager SystemNMSU Career Services utilizes the AggieCAREER Management system powered by Handshake, which allows employers to access and manage their recruiting activities from one centralized source. COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAND INTERNSHIP PROGRAMSelecting NMSU students for co-ops or internships is the perfect resource for your organization to train students to learn the

ins and outs of excelling in the workforce.

Hiring NMSU students as co-op/interns provides access to NMSU’s talented pool of potential employees, before they enter the post-grad job market. Students are able to work during the semesters or summers to support your mission and goals. By getting to know your co-op/intern student, you are able to make an informed hiring decision for long term employment. During the time the student is working as a co-op/intern you will be able to see the value the student has given to the culture of your organization. You can groom them with the right skills so that if you’re looking for long term employees they will have the work ethic that you desire from your employees.

Co-ops/internships are one-time hands-on work or service experiences that are:

• Related to the student intern’s major or career goal

• Paid or unpaid; Student may or may not receive academic credit

• In a professional setting

• Supervised by practicing professionals in the field

• Guided by predetermined learning outcomes, which the co-op/intern engages in and reflects upon throughout the duration of the experience
