DeMarcus Hill DeMarcus Hill will be seeking the At-Large Seat on the Hoover City Council in the April 28 th City Election. Mr. Hill said his primary ambition is to serve the people of Hoover and represent their interest at the local, state and federal level. Mr. Hill was born in Birmingham. He and his wife Jada now live in Hoover and are members of Faith Chapel Christian Center. Hill believes that transparency is essential to having a useful and vibrant democracy. Mr. Hill is the CEO of Covenant Charter Jets, www.covenantcharter.com and has been involved in community and charity service for many years. From 2002 to 2006 he was President of the United Way Alumni Program where he mentored over 250 young adults in becoming a positive influence in the environment in which they live and work. In 2006 Mr. Hill served as personal assistant to former Hoover Assistant Police Chief A.C. Roper in his Community Bible Study he held at Bluff Park Elementary School. DeMarcus was recognized in 2006 by the CEO and Executive heads of United Way for excellent performance in developing the “Birmingham Works for Youth” Program which reaches out to the entire metro area. In 2004-2006 Fox 6 News recognized him as one of Birmingham’s most influential young adults and local news stations recognized him for his outstanding service to the last three BCS Champions.
