Instructional Agenda Monday, December 12th – Friday, December 16th
Computer Science 7th Grade
Learning Objective: Learn about Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Get familiar with CSS. Learn properties and values in CSS. Create more web pages. Learn how to anchor tags to add links
between them. Vocabulary:
CSS - A cascading style sheet (CSS) is a Web page derived from multiple sources with a defined order of precedence where the definitions of any style element conflict
Comments – In a CSS file, text between /** **/ is considered a comment and will be ignored by your website. Use this to add notes for yourself and others who might want to understand your code.
Targets- The first part of CSS rule is a target. Here is where you define what part of your website will follow these rules.
Anchor Tags- <a></a> tag links one website page to another page or to a particular section within a page.
ID Attribute- The id attribute is most used to point to a style in a style sheet, and by JavaScript (via the HTML DOM) to manipulate the element with the specific id
Class Attribute- We use the class attribute when we wish to apply a certain style to a number of tags.
