Belcamp Lane Neighbourhood Study bcdh Client Dublin City Council Year 2007 - 2008 Won through competitive tender, this study was to consider the development potential of a 9.5Ha site at the junction of the Malahide Road and the N32 on behalf of the Housing Project Management Unit of Dublin City Council. The process involved preparation of a briefing document through a process with a number of stakeholders was the key to the understanding of the potential and constraints associated with the site at the Malahide Road. Straddling the boundary between Dublin City Council and Fingal and bounded on 3 sides by the proposed upgrade to the N32 at Belcamp and the existing main artery of the Malahide Road, which would be diminished in this process BCDH worked with the client representatives to develop a vision for the site, which would be socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. The proposal was for a mixed-use, mixed density framework that addressed and interacted with the interfacing adjoining developments.
