Paying For Your Course:

Once you have completed an enrolment

form you will be asked to pay any fees

that apply. You can pay by cash, cheque

or credit/debit card. If your employer is

paying your fees by invoice, you must bring

proof of this on the employer’s letterhead

or purchase order – showing the complete

address of where the invoice should be

sent. If you are an Apprentice with another

Training Provider, you should bring your

National Insurance number and a letter

conrming this, printed on their letter-

headed paper.

Instalments: You can pay by instalments

for courses that have fees of over £100

(there is an administration fee of up to £25

charged for this option). Unfortunately, this

option is NOT open for Income Generated

Courses (courses identied with a £ sign),

to Overseas Learners and courses of less

than 3 months. Call the helpline on 01204

482000 for details or to check eligibility.

Refunds: If a course is cancelled, or if

there is an administration error made

by the college resulting in an overcharge

to the student, a full refund/overcharge

element will be paid.

With the launch of our new Deane Road campus, Bolton College is better placed

than ever to exceed the expectations of our learners. We have over 400 courses to

choose from - everything from Art classes to Hair & Beauty treatments, Computing& IT to Sports & Fitness options - available at one of our main centres or a learning

centre near you from January 2011.

Our practical courses enable learners to gain new skills, strengthen existing ones

or take up a new challenge. Employees can choose from short to more extensive

options; whilst adult learners and young people may consider anything from

Beginners to Full Level 2 and 3 courses (many available for FREE or at reduced

rates).

Adult Learning Grants (ALG)

If you are attending a full-time course, for

a minimum of 12 hours a week, you maybe eligible for nancial assistance of up to

£30 a week, depending on your nancial

circumstances. ALG is for learners aged

19 or over taking their rst Level 2 or Level

3 qualication. Please contact Student

Other help with costs

The College seeks to help learners who are

on a low income, or income-based benets,

with some of the costs associated with

studying, e.g. childcare, equipment/kits and

travel - through our discretionary Learner

Support Fund. For further details, call
