    Dear Ms. Sehrish:

Here is the report you authorized two weeks ago identifying proposals for aplantation campaign and efficient planting activities and facilities besides theproblems faced by the students because of the existing plants and theinsufficient number of plants..

Planting new trees is nevertheless a unique idea as many plants already existin the campus. But the motive of our campaign is to raise funds and plants thatare healthy for life and close to the beneficiary of the students, the environmentand the living conditions outside the city. A plantation campaign was never runby any of the bodies in TIP as none of the faculty or the students gave it athought worth working upon. This community will not only plant new trees butalso clean up the existing plantation area and give a new dimension to barrenareas where there is apparently no life, greenery and freshness. The vision is togive a healthy feel when a person looks at the campus and let the atmospherefull of intoxication and clear gasses for the life cycles to breathe.

Since this is an issue to which all the students and faculty members areconcerned and associated with directly or indirectly not just consciously butsubconsciously as well. So we think that this survey will work out. If the methodswe adopt do not work we will adopt much detailed methods to obtain resultsonce we have ample of the members of TIP working with us.

Short term solutions that could be implemented this year include havingmembers who consult the students really interested in the activity and listen tothose who cant easily express their demand and acknowledgements regardingthe activity so that we have an efficient statistics to work accordingly.

Long term strategies include that our administration should raise sufficientfunds to build a better equipped and highly manual community. This would notonly attract the faculty to be a member but it will leave a long lasting impact

besides a longer life to activate even after we have graduated from the campus. The information in this report came from the online source of the campus,

print collection in the library and interviews with the faculty, student body andthe gardeners working on the campuss scenery beauty. Our personal interestsalso helped us a lot and our working a team proved to be beneficial in thecampaigns regard.

Thank you for the opportunity to conduct this research. Weve enjoyed a lotexploring our very own institute and being a part of its cultural programming. Ifyou have any questions regarding the material in this report, please call any oneof us.

    Sincerely,Members of the Campaign

    Executive Summary

To utilize the land within the premises of TIP is an aspect by which we can

improve TIP. Plantation is an option which is considered in this report.

We will elucidate the possible hazards to the health of people at TIP by which it

can be proved that plantation is a requisite rather than an apposite option. TIP is

located in an industrial area. So, different dangerous gases are released from

    these factories.

Most of these gases are harmful and have also contaminated the lake water. This

contamination is not bounded only to the lake but has also affected the drinking

water. Furthermore plantation will have positive effect on the ambience in many

ways. It will help in cleaning the land area rather than raising cleanliness

    problems.

The plantation will not necessarily exterminate the hazardous gas problem but

    will help ameliorate the environment.

The benefits of plantation are not restricted only to the environment. Plantationwill also help TIP become a more beautiful place which will attract more people

    to join TIP.

Fund raising will not become hurdle as fewer funds are required and there are

several option from which authorities can choose whichever is apposite

    according to them.

People at TIP are interested in it so more people are willing to contribute in

    different ways.

Plantation is the best option to utilize the land as it will incur less expense ascompared to other alternatives and will consume minimum time.

Plantation Campaign: increasing the number of plants in the campus for healthyliving.

    INTRODUCTION

Textile Institute of Pakistan (T.I.P) is situated outside the city and who everenters it, needs a certain kind of freshness to the feel and the campus itselfneeds to have more and appropriate plants as they have immense benefitsoverall. However, the campaign lead by us would cater the whole faculty of T.I.Pfor environmental and social criteria.

    Purpose

The purpose of this report is to recommend ways to increase plantation in thecampus and utilize the barren area for an activity healthy for both the studentsand the environment.

In this report, I will focus on the following areas: the reason plantation should bedone, why a campaign should lead such an activity, its pros and cons, awarenessand statistics related to the surveys and point of views of the local people. I willbriefly discuss the methods and strategies planned to match up therecommendations and work on the loyalty programs.

Therefore, this is the purpose of our conducting this campaign and hopefully we

will come up to the expected changes for better.

    Scope

The scope of the campaign is limited to the campus only. Only the faculty withinthe campus can cater in the activity and no outside help would be acceptedbecause the campaign is for the betterment of the campus and its people and itshould be felt by them only.

The funds collection would be a part of T.I.P only and no body would bepressurized to be a donator for it. All the views of the general audience would berespected and kept in view and the work would be steady as to gradually let the

    changes spread and be acceptable.

    Limitations

Our research has few limitations. First, we had a convenience survey we couldntgeneralize the survey. Second, we target audience from TIP only that lemmatizesour funds and members. Third, the time of the survey was a problem. We justhad two weeks to survey for a long term plan. And last, many people were notserious about the campaign and showed non-serious attitude, and others being

friends took it non-seriously that is why we were unable to carry an efficientinterview but the questionnaire help a great deal.

However, these limitations can only help us alter our approach but not changesour decisions and planning and we will succeed in making TIP a better place forsure.

    Assumptions

The assumptions for our project are the benefits we have foreseen regarding the

campaign and the to-be-cherished fruits by the people around because of thecampaign. We have assumed that people will respond positively and massively

  • 8/6/2019 B.C REPORT mark

    8/17

as the campaign is for their welfare only. We have also assumed far too manygoody goody things but hope our work will justify our planning and assumptions.

    Methods

The information for this report initiated when we, the members of the campaignsat together and put our proposals forward. The report generated when thesurvey was carried out. The interviews helped us a great deal as we could knowthe opinions of the people in person. We also used online and library material toanswer our queries and questionnaire that we took provided us with genuinestatistic about our loyalty program.

    Page 3

    Plan of Presentation

With the above as background, our report will proceed on laying out the specificrecommendations. Describe how we will implement the program and concludewith benefits of adopting the program. We therefore plan to go step by step inthe least possible complex ways just to help our audience adopt our targets.

    DESCRIPTION OF IMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM

Before describing the program, we would like to comment on the results weobtained from our surveys and research. Appendix A shows the statisticalresults of the questionnaire and public views besides the discussions of themeetings held among the group members. A look at the visuals can easilydetermine how successful the campaign is going to be and that is the reason wedecided to continue with our loyalty program. The suggested criteria is that thecampaign should be led more as an activity so that as many people canparticipate as possible.

Finally, as additional sources of data, we then took the classification of areas and

health benefits under the personal categories and each of the group membercounters checked and analyzed the data themselves.

    Description of the Program

The program is all about planting new trees and cleaning and nourishing theexisting plants in TIP. The funds will be allocated, the plants will be donated, thecleanliness will be looked after, and beauty of the campus would be maintainedand thereof increased. As a promotion activity, we have decided to provide thosewith certain incentives of high posts in the team and management whocontribute most of their time, skill and financial aids.

    Page 4

Any of the suggestion is welcome if the area is type of plants, area to plant on,and incentives to be provided for healthy environment. Any suggestion thatwould benefit the campaign can be submitted after the report and presentationso that we can begin our work as efficiently as our enthusiasm is.

    Cost of the Program

We wont be saving anything because we are doing the campaign purely forsocial purposes. No personal benefit is looked for from it except for selfsatisfaction that the environment is healthy, people are drinking pure water, we

can inhale fresh air and our eyes and bodies remain fresh at the end of the day.

Cost necessary for the implementation of the program would be of cleaning thebarren area for the new plants to be places and paying the gardener for hisservices. New plants would be placed once we get through the cleaning thenwell work upon the trimming and replacement of existing plants. All the incurredcosts would also include costs incurred for training and publicity.

    SURVEY ANALYSIS

Effect on ambienceThe effects of plantation can be positive or negative. It can either raise

cleanliness issues or can help in cleaning. Cleanliness issues refer to thesituation when the plants will grow to trees ensuing leave trash and other trash.

Else it can also help in cleaning in the sense that before plantation is carried out

the land is prepared for it by removing all trash content. We did not consider

hypothesis to find answers to any situation.

To ascertain the answer for this question, we carried out the survey through

    questionnaire.

    30% help in cleaning

    raise cleanliness problem s

The survey revealed that the plantation will help in cleaning rather than raisecleanliness problems.

Effect on environmentThe plantation will have generally good effect on the environment. TIP is located

in an area where it is surrounded by many factories. As a result to the forgoing

fact TIP is polluted by dangerous gases released during different processes from

these factories. Plantation can help ameliorate the environment as trees can

absorb these gases. This will reduce hazards to the health of people at TIP.

BenefitsPlantation can result in many benefits such as benefit to environment, health of

people, beauty aspect of TIP as well as an identity for TIP. Beauty aspect of TIP

will attract more people to join TIP. We conducted the survey to find out which is

the most important benefit among these.

    Identity to TIP

Statistics revealed that the most important benefit according to Tipians is the

environment benefit with 65% results, beauty with 25%, and health withremaining 10 % for identity of TIP.

Funds for plantationThere are several methods for raising funds for the plantation. These are

Funds by Tipians Sponsors from outside the organization Sponsorship from TIP trust.

Question then arises that are the people willing to provide funds. The survey

    revealed these results.

View of peopleAccording to the people at TIP plantation can help improve different aspects at

TIP. Fund raising or time factor cannot obstruct the plantation campaign (if one is

carried out). Procurement of plants with the funds will reduce expense for TIP.

Level of InterestTo find out that will it interest people, we draw results from the conducted

    survey. Following results were obtained.

Percentage of People's Interest in the Project

    65%

    35%

    Yes

    No

These statistics can be used to conclude that it will interest people on the

    average.

Best option as compared to other alternatives

Plantation is considered best option in our view as it will not escalate any

expense and will require minimum funds as compared to alternatives. Less time

will be consumed in plantation. As other alternatives (such as swimming pool or

sports ground) will be costly as well as time consuming.

    CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The campus would only benefit from the campaign. Lake water would be cleaner, the oxygen around would be purer, there wont be any vile smell once we start

with our cleaning planning. An ongoing committee would also be formed toreview campaigns suggestions. And the final decision with stay within themembers of the campaign who initially started it.
