• Iattendedthe16UclinicandCollegePrep/18UAll-StargamesonJune10.FeedbackfromcoachesdirectlyinvolvedwasverypositiveandsupportiveintheirjudgmentofB.C.Baseballcontinuingtoofferanddeliverboththeseprogrammingitems.OneconsistentmessagefromseveralinstructorswasforB.C.Baseballtomarketandpromotetheeventsthroughoursocialmediaplatform.Manyfamiliessenttheirviewsandexperienceofthesessionsdirectlytometowhichwehavepostedsomeonourwebsite.

• ChallengerBaseballhelditsannualJamboreeeventatWinskillParkinSouthDeltawhichIattendedthisyearonJune17.Thedaywasconcludedwithaspecialappearancefrom“ManinMotion….RickHanson”.WecontinuetogrowChallengeratB.C.Baseball,andwillstayonthattrackreachingouttomoreofourlocalassociationsinanefforttogetthemessageoutthereintheircommunitiestothosefamiliesdeservingofthisgreatprogram.AspecialthankstoIanMcLeanforallhisyearsinvolvedbuildingthefoundationplatformofChallengerandservingasatremendousambassadorforChallenger.

• Mostassociations’springseasoniswindingdownandsummerall-starteamsarebeingdeclaredasIwritethis.ItwillbeanotherfuntimeofyearandsomedivisionsstartgamesasearlyasthisSaturday,June24th.Goodlucktoallteamsinalldivisions,enjoythistimeofyear!

• I had the opportunity sincemy last report at the beginning of themonth to coach the Team BC 13USelects program that recently travelled to Kennewick WA. Coaching along with Jimmy Vulcano(Cloverdale) and Clayton Hall (Campbell River) which saw 13 players compete and develop during the“Father’s Day Slugfest” tournament. These 13U players competedwith older teams on 15U fields. TheteamcompetedinDivision1against16otherteams.Theteamwaschallengedfromthefirstpitchofthetournamentandlostthefirstgameofthetournamentbybeingwalked-offbyWallaWalla.ThenextgamesawTeamBCcompeteagainstSettleDragonEliteatoprankedteaminthestatesawtheboyswalkoffthisteaminanexcitingfinish.Theteamfinishedtheroundrobin1-1andthe9thrankedteamoutofthe17 entered.With a bye into the “GoldMedal Round” saw TeamBC again faceWallaWalla. This gameagainsawthembeatTeamBCbyoneruninanotherclosegame.Thefourthgameofthetournamentsawtheteamdefeat the localKennewick team.Theplayerswerechallenged fromthestartandconsideringthattheteamstheyfacedhavebeentogethersinceMarchandareolderIcannotbemoreproudofthem.The levelof competewasoutstandingby theseplayers. Iwould like toalso thank theparentgroup forsupportingtheseplayersfromthetryoutprocessthroughouttheendofthispastweekend.Beingmy6thyear as a coachwithin this13Uprogram I canhonestly say it is apleasure to coachandwatchplayers
