Organization: Castaway Construction& Restoration (CC&R) is a growing organization with a determined work ethic and an ambition to be recognized as one of the top performing contractors in the State of Hawaii. Established in 2009 by President and Owner Loren R. Osborn, CC&R’s work to date has been stamped by quality performance on the jobsite and superior finished product with no hidden costs and on time project completion. Acting as both general and subcontractor, CC&R has built up an impressive resume of successful projects of all varieties, including ground up residential, design-build restoration, commercial tenant improvements and public works contracting. With over 20 years in the construction industry, President Loren Osborn draws on a wide berth of experience in directing CC&R’s approach to all projects. Safety, quality and exceptional service have been trademarks of Loren’s work through the years and have become the mantra of Castaway Construction & Restoration’s operations. Loren continues to lead CC&R with an unrelenting work ethic and a strong demand to meet all clients’ needs. In his role as Project Manager/Estimator and Co-owner of CC&R, Sergei Melnikau applies over 10 years of experience in commercial construction management & architecture. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization, its projects and CC&R's estimating. Matt Hecox, CC&R's Production Manager brings 35 plus years of contracting experience. Holding a general contracting and a C- framing license. Mr. Hecox is a leader in all fields of construction. The head of our Project Management team, Nick Straka was educated at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Receiving a bachelors and a master’s degree in civil engineering, Nick is a licensed Civil Engineer in both Hawaii and Alaska Mike Darcey, our Oahu Operation Manager is a 2nd generation licensed general contractor (currently inactive) with more than 30 years of personal experience and knowledge in the construction industry; including as the owner/operator of Darcey Builders, Inc. a $10,000,000.00 per year general contracting company. Organized and detail oriented, he approaches situations with a practical problem solving mindset. Under his leadership, Mike has managed approximately $100,000,000.00 in construction projects in one capacity or another. With hundreds of projects in the Metropolitan Honolulu area Mike has built an extensive network of relationships, which is a sizable asset to CC&R, facilitating procurement, coordination, manpower and a whole host of other things that knowing the right person streamlines.

project’s logistical and on-site management needs as well as
