Brixton Regeneration In recent times Brixton has been changing and the focus has been on regeneration. In conjunction with F.M. Conway BBS Granite Concepts have been creating the TFL vision. Natural stone has been a major part of the design scheme and in particular granite. Chinese G654 mid grey granite paving has been supplied with G603 silver grey kerb in areas such as Cold Harbour Lane, creating a beautiful pedestrian walkway for this part of Brixton. This particular part of the works has been completed with the next phase due to start June 2009. This next phase will also be supplied by BBS Granite Concepts and laid by F. M. Conway. The scheme will incorporate more mid grey paving with silver grey kerbs to Brixton Central Square, along with an extremely complex and intriguingly designed curved bench weighing over 60 tons. As with many of our schemes we are personally researching and quality controlling the factories producing the Brixton products, and are working closely with all the design teams from the architect to the client supplying regular photographic updates during production. The area of China supplying the granite is Fujian, which is a province located in the South East of the country, and has been visited by many of our clients who have carried out independent audits for their respective schemes. The bench is due to be installed in Brixton during the summer of 2009 and will be shown at a later date on our web site.

Brixton RegenerationIn recent times Brixton has been changing and the focus has been on regeneration.
