The OSM emphasis is geared to develop critical thinking skills toward operations strategy, demand and supply planning, service operations, continuous quality improvement, strategic sourcing, negotiations and supply chain analytics. OSM deals with the processes by which companies acquire and transform resources to create products and services in a way that maximizes their value. Managing sourcing, production and service provision operations in supply chains are key areas where businesses create and claim value.

Logistics and Intermodal Transportation (LIT)emphasis focuses on intelligent movements of cargo in shipping containers or trailers by more than one mode (water, rail, road, air) of transportation to maximize service levels and minimize costs. LIT has a strong natural fit with the region’s hubs of economic activity—the Georgia Ports Authority in conjunction with major railroad, trucking, ocean cargo, airfreight and warehousing companies—allowing for many experiential learning opportunities.
