    3 p.m., "Free To Be - You and Me" and at 4p.m. Uncle Sam again.

    And children can have their own free carica-tures by Herman Gutierrez, Saturday and Sun-day from,2-4 p.m.

    This is THE weekend of the year. Tonight Bay-fest '76 opens in Corpus Christi and for threedays the bayfront will resound with happysounds.

    What's the best thing about Bayfest? It'sFREE. A six-block area along North Shorelinefrom Belden to Brewster streets has been ropedoff for the festival which begins at 6 p.m. todayand ends Sunday evening.

    There will be 40 food booths, special exhibitareas (including a kids' area) and tents andthree stages where musicians, actors and danc-'ers will perform continuously throughout the fes-tival.

    Toe official opening is Saturday at 11 a.m. butthe fun begins tonight when special guest RosieGrier, football player, actor and needlework art-ist extraordinaire will mingle with the musiclovers at the performances.

    To help you make the most of this weekend offun take along the entertainment schedule below- but don't spill any ketchup, mustard, tacosauce, beer, barbecue sauce, corn butter, Coke,pickle juice, Greek pastry flakes or whatever onit. And remember, in addition to the stagedevents, there are art and heritage exhibits, chil-dren's games, a petting zoo and souvenirs forsale.

    Park your car and take one of the shuttle buseswhich will run every 15 minutes from pickuppoints along the bayfront. You can catch the bUllat Memorial Coliseum, the Sheraton Marina Inn,The Boat Shop, the Corpus Christi Tourist Bu-reau and the Holiday Inn-Emerald Beach. Buseswill run from 5:30-11:30 p.m. today, 10:30 a.m. to11:30 p.m. S~turday and on Sunday from 11:30a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
