Final Thoughts: As well as collecting the above information, we have built a firm

understanding that G&G related people do not like to be approached coldly by companies or agencies. We also know that they don’t want to run through a recruitment application process if a) they are not looking for a job and b) the agency or the company is not offering a “better” job at the end of the process. Understanding what G&G related staff want is the key here.

We also understand that before the recession, G&G based staff

were much easier to find and were happier to discuss “potential” opportunities.

We know it is very difficult to find and attract top quality candidates

who will move jobs now, however we believe we have identified some important key factors about G&G related staff by obtaining this information. Invariably, the best people are generally not looking for work because they tend to be happier and productive in their jobs, as their current employers are looking after them. Whilst speaking with people throughout 2010 we have noticed the introduction of a “retainer” bonus with some Operating companies as they remain focused on retaining their best staff.

Hopefully these results will show what attracts the best candidates

in the market to consider a career change.
