Battle Strategy
Simple change of habits and adapt to a different strategy for battleing other
players in KoC in order to be more efficient and Safe.
In general when we Attack or Defend we do so from Peace time TR. This is
the most convieniant for us and sometimes an Attack happens suddenly.
But what if you are ready to battle anyway? Or looking for a fight?
Again most players will start fighting from a Peace Time TR (Habit) but what
if you start from a Battle Preset? Instead of Using your Peace Time TR you
will create a Preset from where you send Attacks and Switch to when you
are being ( counter attacked).
The logic behind this is Simple and for the following reasons.
1) Confusion for Enemy
2) In case you switch to late on Defend or Attack you were already
on a battle Preset (and not on Peace Time / Troop Training TR).
3) You increase your chance or chances of winning.
4) You still benefit from the Sacrifice but better on a Battle Preset
then Peace Time TR.
5) In case the game shows you that you have changed TR and when
you see report.. it didn’t.. ( server lag) but now you are on a Battle
Preset.
Creating a Battle Preset to Defend with or Attack with.
The only Restriction you may encounter is Marchsize & MarchSpeed.
Marchsize is Capped at 150%
MarchSpeed is Capped at 500%
But this you can solve in your Preset by certain Cards.
This is a great Card for a Peace Time TR but NOT for a Battle Preset.
These are great Alternatives & with Battle Stats.
You can “Pair’ the Noble Stag & Father Winter together for MarchSize &
Marchspeed. The Father Winter when Upgraded to higher levels will have
enough Marchspeed with just 1 line. The Cap is 500% Remember?
429% on level 23 is really close 500% and leaves the Jewel position open to
other (needed) Battle stats or even Marchsize Jewel!
Then 1 Card like Father Winter will / could cover ALL your MarchSpeed
and Size. Leaving 11 slots in your TR for the Remaining Battle Cards.
March Size March Speed
With MarchSize & MarchSpeed Covered you can now Send at full
MarchSpeed for Attack waves BUT also Transport / Re-assign / Reinforce
etc and use MarchSize for the maximum possible troops able to send from a
RP.
You have now the option to Fill in the other 10 or 11 other Cards to
what you need in your TR.
The Guide will continue with the Preset I chose to Defend and Attack from.
A surprise Attack from a Druid City came in ( Hidden Paths) just before
another Incoming March.
And eventhough I changed to a different Preset for Defending due to server
lag, the preset NEVER changed. But I was still on this TR.. what happened?
Had I been on a Peace TR the outcome could / would have been different.
Now the damage has been limited.
Conclusion:
Lately many last second TR changes Fail.
This is either due to Serverlag or not refreshing enough your browser.
Either way it is annoying and can lead to losses.
In Attacking & Defending.
Therefore starting from a Battle Preset instead of a Peace time can /could
win the battle.
If you are attacking from a Defense/Attack debuff Preset with mixed
troops and the Attack fails due to a Preset change, being on a
Defense/Attack debuff Preset could still win the battle.
If you are Defending and the Preset change fails, you still have the
benefit of the Sacrificed troops and a battle preset. Giving you more
change to survive the battle.
This is just an example Preset, and you can adjust / use any preset you
tweak to your liking.
It just gives you more chances in Attacking & Defending then a Peace Time
Tr could give you.
It just requires a small change in your habits & mindset.
But it could be perfect for people that scout a lot and attract hostile attention,
or people that Attack Alliances via the PB+ function with cav. ( you do not
have to change TR and are ready for incoming Attacks)
Either way, it’s good Strategy.
Sharing is knowledge, and a lot of players are not sharing. Yes, it gives you and edge, or advantage, but
it leaves also many people clueless. The objective of these tutorials, is to teach, learn, educate players so ALL players have
a better under understanding of the game. The more players participate, the better the overall experience is for all players.
More attacking and defending means “lively” domains full of activity.
