On June 24th the Secretary of State allowed the appeal for 299 dwellings at land at Bata Field, East Tilbury.

The Secretary of State’s decision notice highlighted the high quality of design of the scheme and sensitivity to its setting as the very special circumstances for removal of the site from the Green Belt. He also cited the much needed affordable housing that the development will bring to the local area.
