Her mother named her. It was supposed to be Marie) with an accent on one of the let-ters) “supposed to be Gaelic or something like that”. Not really sure if it’s the I or the A or but her dad said it sounded like Mariah Carey. The end result was for this girl to be named Mary Margarret Chambers. Ready for the world and anx-ious to traverse the universe she embarked on a journey of life that would take her in and out of the city streets//She would `Irish dance her way to fame, well not fame but at least self fulfillment. In her own words

she would later say,

“___________.””

Irish dancing might have sparked an interest in music early on, but her real love for music would come toward the end of this early part of Mary’s life when she would start listening to electronic music and going to strange parties with new friends.

This s a girl who would love to experience music live and create memorable weekend stories that transcend the years.

“that was my shit”.

y Margar__________is any sound or beat, made by any instrument real or imaginary that has rhythm, pleases the ear, and makes you move your body. If one of these is missing than you are probably hearing noises and ordinary sounds not MUSIC. Depending on the categories of Music you listen to people come up with assumptions of who you are, what your about and what your

other interests are. Particularly with tech-no as much as Dubstep we find subgenres and sub-groups that enjoy these types of music. They also go hand in hand with music festivals and increasingly drugs. If you find this odd you probably don’t go to any festivals and a very square individual.

Mary Chambers Margaret is one of the many girls that listen to Electronic Music, particularly Dubstep, and in that genre she is a particularly a ridiculously big fan of ____________ This is a fan base that even has its own name, in the raves or music concerts one might call her a Basshead, and she’s dahm proud of it too. In our dis-cussion Mary described how she probably went to more Bass Nectar concerts than times she’s missed school, for her it’s a love that will last a lifetime and is not something she can easily forget.

When one goes to a rave or festival, you are walking into a universe waiting to be explored. While most music up until the 90’s can be easily categorized electron-ic music keeps fighting the grain and constantly evolving in to new innovative genre’s and sounds. Dubstep has a characteristics of heavy bass, with hard rythms and deep drops in tempo, not only can you describe this music, you can also feel it and experience it in a very different way than going and sitting at a country concert. The bass fills the rooms and floats in the air till it reaches your thinnest hairs all over your body. From head to toe, your covered in this heavy bass blanket that can only be described by one phrase

CRAZY

The first time I went to a Bass Nectar concert was North Coast Mu-sic Festival about 3 years ago, when I went to this show It was just ___________ It was insane. I had started to follow BassNectar and the Dubstep scene in high school, but it wasn’t till this festival that I became absolutely hooked and ever since then a die hard Basshead. This particular day I was not in the right state of mind, I was in the perfect state of mind and the music kept enhancing this feeling that I will take with me to the grave. The air and tempature was right, I had some of my best friends, cold water, and nothing but bass flowed out of that stage through the crowds all the way to where I was. The best mo-ment of my life so far could be described by this one particular day.

The rhythm that flowed through Mary was created by someone else who has a machine that is connected to various other machines; amplified and transferred to the masses through sound waves traveling through the speakers all around the stage.

The stages are usually planned out weeks in advance before any festival, big money goes to getting equipment, lights and speakers set up. The quality and quantity of sound is getting better and better and as the electronic music keeps on advancing
