Washburn Weekly Update September 9 th to 13 th , 2019 Basketball Practice Weekly Schedule September 9th to 13th Time: 3:15 pm Location: Washburn School Monday: 7th to 12th Grade Girls Tuesday: 7th and 8th Grade Boys Wednesday: 5th and 6th Grade Boys Thursday: 9th to 12th Grade Boys Coach: Mr. Damian Pérez Roche Athletic Director: Mr. Jason Torres ****************************************************************************** Character Development At Washburn During the first Monday of each month, our staff and teachers will dedicate some time to reflect, write, read, discuss, or conduct a creative activity related to our value of the month within their homeroom class time (7:50 am to 8:50 am). This does not mean that we will only talk about it tomorrow, yet it is a structured timeframe to make sure we all pause and reflect on values and character development in a school-wide, organized manner. The value of the month is related to taking on personal and academic responsibility towards a meaningful and purposeful life. We must adopt responsibility for our well-being and health. We must seek out responsibility to contribute to those around us and to grow. We should adopt responsibility to help unite our family units and improve the collective well-being, with serving our community, and with our learning. We should take on challenges directly and carry the most substantial burden we can bear in an effort of finding a meaningful life over a pleasure-seeking one. ****************************************************************************** Professor Edward Torres Headmaster, Washburn School Director, Washburn English Institute Greetings: Thank you to the parents and grandparents who graced with your presence at the August Student of the Month Celebration on Thursday, September 5 and Grandparent’s Day for Pre-K and Kinder on Friday, September 6. Your attendance to these events means a lot to your children and grandchildren and to the administration and staff of our school. We actually appreciate your devotion and support as usual. Because at Washburn we are a great big family”.

Page 5: Basketball Practice Weekly Schedule September 9th to 13th … · 2019-09-09 · tenso o ansioso.

-Aristóteles ************************************************************************** CLASS: Pre-Kinder TEACHER: Mrs. Ashley Ann Ayala & Mrs. Wanda Vázquez WEEK OF: September 9 to 13, 2019
