Playing basketball was nolonger limited to playingwith friends at the parkwhen Jonathan Kidd,senior, joined DVD’sbasketball program.Attending all four years ofhigh school at DVD,Jonathan or “Jono” tofriends, has been playingfor the school sincefreshman year and joinedour official team as ajunior. Jonathan battledseveral injuries during theseason, but he didn't allowthat to prevent him frombeing involved with his

team. “During the injuries and the times I was restingon the bench I just cheered my team on and stayedpositive,” said Jonathan. Playing on a team for twoyears has taught the combo guard essential qualitiesfor the world outside school. “It has taught meteamwork, hard work, discipline, and a competitiveattitude.”

Having played on a basketball team sincethe eight grade, Blake Wilderman joinedour basketball team this year as a senior.Blake has enjoyed watching the sportsince he was young. Acquiring his firstinjury ever in his time playing basketball,the shooting guard spent some time onthe bench this season cheering his teamon. How he's stayed injury free? He doesnot know. "I guess I'm just blessed, lucky."Shooting drills and scrimmage are someof his favorite activities, and he enjoys hiphop music and rappers like Drake. Thisnew wolf fought well with his new pack.
