FIRST AIDER, CAN I HELP?• ACTIVATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND REPORT BACK TO ME WHILE I’LL DO PRIMARY

ASSESSMENT OF THE VICTIM.– 1. Hey sir, hey sir, are you okay? (Repeat 2X)– 2. Victim is unresponsive!– 3. Open the airway & check the mouth for any obstruction. (Maximum head tilt)– 4. Mouth & nose are clear!– 5. Check breathing for 5 sec using Look, Listen, Feel (LLF)

• 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005– 6. Victim is breathless!– 7. Give 2 initial Ventilatory Maneuver (IVM) or initial breaths. – 8. Check breathing & pulse for 10 sec using LLF.

• Adult & Child- carotid pulse• Infant- brachial pulse• 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005, 1006, 1007, 1008, 1009, 10010

– 9. Victim is breathless & no pulse!– 10. Follow up medical assistance & report back to me while I’ll perform CPR– 11. Adult/Child/Infant: 2 minute CPR

• 30 ECC: 2 Breaths• 5 Cycles

• ACTIVATE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND REPORT BACK TO ME WHILE I’LL DO PRIMARY ASSESSMENT OF THE VICTIM.

– 1. Hey sir, hey sir, are you okay? (Repeat 2X)– 2. Victim is unresponsive!– 3. Open the airway & check the mouth for any obstruction. (Maximum head tilt)– 4. Mouth & nose are clear!– 5. Check breathing for 5 sec using Look, Listen, Feel (LLF)

• 1st Breath- chest does not rise- re-tilt the head• 2nd Breath- chest does not rise

– 8. Follow up medical assistance & report back to me while I’ll perform FBAO Management– 9. Adult & Child victims-30 chest compressions– Infant victims – 5 back blows and 5 chest thrusts– 10. Open the airway and check the mouth for any obstruction.– If foreign body is visible, perform tongue jaw lift & remove the obstruction.– 11. Give 2 Initial Ventilatory Maneuver (IVM) or Initial Breaths

• 1st Breath – Chest Rises• 2nd Breath – Chest Rises

– 12. Check breathing & pulse for 10 sec using LLF– Adult & Child – carotid pulse– Infant – Brachial pulse
