- A shot to establish the area EXTREME WIDE SHOT- EWS
WIDE SHOT- WS- The shot that shows the entire person or area. Allows the capture of the action of the person. Also known as the long shot.
MEDIUM SHOT- MS- The shot that frames the object from waist up. It allows hand gestures and motion.
MEDIUM CLOSE UP- MCU- The shot that shows the object in more detail and are often framed from just below the shoulder to the top of the head.
CLOSE UP- CU- It shows a particular part of the subject and it just frames the head of a person.
EXTREME CLOSE UP
- It is a much tighter close up shot that gets detail more than the human eye might be able to normally perceive.
