The Sage paint color provides a relaxing
atmosphere for the office.
I removed the carpet, painted and sealed the wooden stairs, and installed a berber runner.
For the stair landing I used black carpet tile and added three mirrors
to reflect the light.
The wooden accent chairs and coffee table were found at a second hand store. I sanded and painted them, added a new finish to the
top of the coffee table and recovered the chairs’ slip seats.
I covered the fireplace with extra drywall that
the client had in the garage.
A new light fixture brightens the space
and adds class.
In order to create a work space with a lot of storage, I took the back off the bookcases and used a pine board for a table top. This was a budget friendly way to a functional
office.
Standard drapery panels soften the room and adds
privacy.
I removed the carpet and used concrete floor paint
which is made to withstand heavy traffic. Two area rugs
were used to define the different spaces and soften
the room.
In order to utilize the whole space, I bought a louver shutter, spray painted it and hung it as a magazine rack.
