As we start a new year, remember

o NO visitors until after Labor Day. This allows the students to get adjusted to their schedules and being without relatives, especially Kindergarten students.

o NO cupcakes at lunch for bir Non-edible items are preferred due to food allergies and religious concerns. If you want to acknowledge bir within the contact the teacher.

WearebusylearningscienceconceptsthroughprojectsintheSTEAMlab.Hereiswhatwehavebeenupto:Kindergartenisusingfairytalestolearnaboutstructure(howsomethingismade)andfunction(whatisitspurpose).Wehavebuiltbeanstalksandarenowbuildingthe3LittlePigshouses.1stgradeislearningaboutsoundandlight.Theyarelearningthatsoundismadebyvibrationsandlightmustbepresentforustosee.2ndgradeisbusylearningaboutmatterandhowmattercanhaveareversibleorirreversiblechange.3rdgradeislearningabouttheforcesofflightandwillsoonbuildandtestaglider.4thgradeisworkingonunderstandingenergyandisbuildingacarandapendulumtoconnecttheirlearning.5thgradehasfinishedresearchonrobotsandisnowworkingonunderstandinginputsandoutputstobeginbuildingtheirrobots.
