1 BE PREPARED

It's important to consider every

possible situation during your

speech, whether it's good or bad.

For example: Would you be prepared

if your teleprompter stopped

working? If not, then keep practicing

until you’ve mastered your speech!

2 KNOW YOUR

AUDIENCE

One of the most important parts about

a quality speech is having an attentive

audience. Think about what your

audience wants to get out of your

speech; should you be serious or

would they appreciate humor? What

information are they looking for?

3 SUMMARIZE

Summarizing helps the audience

remember the things they are supposed

to take away from your speech. This will

also signal that you are concluding your

speech and will help avoid that potential

awkward ending!
