RELEVANCE. MANAGEMENT OF SOCIETIES BY POLITICAL WILL OR MARKET POWER OFTEN HAD A DISTORTING INFLUENCE ON SOCIAL WELFARE. IN MODERN TIME MORE EFFICIENT AND SAFE METHODS ARE NEEDED, ESPECIALLY FOR RUSSIA, HAVING THE BIGGEST NUMBER OF NATIONALITIES, ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS AND THE LARGEST TERRITORY.

“BAROMETER OF WELL-BEING OF THE RUSSIAN REGIONS"

Purpose – to teach for ergonomic management of regions with the feedback, including peoples’ quality of life and standard of living. The technology is designed for civil society, government bodies, trade unions, higher education schools, politicians, scientists, etc.

Tasks1) identification of regional heterogenity, requiring a differentiated approach

2) studying the variability of regions’ reactions; analysis of negative consequences

3) assessment of the effectiveness of actions, identification of leaders and outsiders

4) search for the causative intereactions

5) prediction of development trends

Representation. The results are presented in graphs and tables, in black-white and color images. Charts and tables can be printed, saved in the archive, be used for presentations and e-mail.

Material. Technology includes a computer program for monitoring since 1990 the basic state statistics. Parameters are updated annually. Indices are calculated for economic potential, standard of living, quality of life, investments to the future.
