The Slings are made from a soft feel fabric which is comfortable and secure for both patient and caregiver.

This fabric can be spot cleaned and is safe to use after getting wet making the sling reusable even in a hy-

giene environment. With a safe working load of 300kg these patient specific slings are strong enough to last

for the entire duration of the patient’s stay.

The Patient Specific repositioning sheet is a high quality, yet disposable sheet that allows nurses and care-

givers to assign a sheet to an individual and specific patient for their patient handling and lifting needs during

their stay. This isolated use reduces and controls the existence, growth and proliferation of any potential con-

tamination between patients, providing a preferred hygienic alternative to traditional repo sheets.

If the Lateral transfer board is not new and is already in use please ensure it has been cleaned prior to reuse.

Use one of the following recommended methods to reduce the risk of cross infection.

The board is designed to be able to be cleaned in a number of different ways to suit the relevant environment.

a) It can be wiped clean using normal disinfectant solutions

b) It can be wiped clean using alcohol based solutions (up to 75%)

c) Ensure that local COSHH regulations are adhered to.

Storage & Disposal of the product after use

The Lateral transfer board can be stored either completely flat or folded in half for minimum space utililisation.

By using the handle slots the board can be hung up in a way most suitable for the storage environment.

It should be stored in clean conditions, free from contamination. If the product becomes soiled prior to use it

must be

cleaned by one of the recommended cleaning methods.

At the end of the product life please dispose of the product safely using a licensed waste control contractor.

The Scoop EXL Stretcher is a patient-handling device designed to ―scoop‖ patients from the ground or floor in confined spaces, or

HandySheet Facilitates the Application of Slings

HandySheet™ facilitates the application of slings by reducing the friction between the pa-

tient and the underlying surface. It can be used for both normal weight and extremely heavy

patients and is made of high-quality, low-friction fabric which has a very good sliding ca-

pacity even after long-term use.

HandySheet is an excellent aid to facilitate the application of slings, especially on extremely heavy

patients, pain-sensitive patients or patients with contractures.

HandySheet is available in two sizes. The smaller model, Short, is primarily used to facilitate the application of the sling in a

wheelchair or under the legs of the patient.

The larger model, Long, is also used to place a sling under a patient lying down. This model has loops in the upper edge to

facilitate the attachment of the sliding sheet to the bed, and thereby handle the operation with just two caregivers.

Characteristic features of HandySheet are

The fabric is of very high quality, with very low friction even after many washes.

The long versions of the HandySheet have loops in the upper edge to facilitate the

attachment to the bed. The number of caregivers holding the sliding sheet is thereby re-

duced. This is unique to the HandySheet, and Liko has registered the design solution.

The short HandySheet has small pockets which facilitate the application in, for in-

stance, a narrow wheelchair. This is also a unique and registered design solution.

We have developed unique work methods which facilitate the application of sliding

sheets and which are also comfortable for the patient. With our method the patient does not

have to be turned in the bed to place the sliding sheet.

The sliding sheets are always delivered in a set of two, usually used in pairs.

HandyTube Bed transfers

HandyTube™ facilitates shorter transfers in bed or between two beds by reducing the

friction between the patient and the underlying surface.

They can be used both for patients with average weight and bariatric patients and are manu-

factured in a high-quality, low-friction fabric, which keeps its good sliding capabilities even after

a long period of use.

HandyTube is available in three different models, with different application areas.

The smallest model, Short, is primarily used to move a patient higher up in the bed.

The medium size, Long, is used to turn a patient in the bed, or for transfers between two beds.

Thanks to its handles, size Wide can be used to turn or move the patient in the bed. It can also be used for transferring

The HoverMatt system is used to assist with lateral transfers and repositioning anywhere in the hospital. It is radiolucent and artefact free so patients may remain on the HoverMatt mattress for all ancillary procedures, including Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, MRI 1, or Radiation Therapy. Consistent utilization of the HoverMatt dramatically reduces back injuries to staff that are caused by lat-eral transfers and repositioning. In addition, fewer staff members are required and a very comfortable transfer for the patient is provided. After the patient is placed on the HoverMatt transfer mattress, low pressure air from the small air supply will inflate the mattress. At the same time the air is supporting the patient, the air is escaping from the perfora-tions in the underside, and acting as a lubricant to reduce friction, which facilitates effortless transfers. With less force needed to transfer a patient, there is less physical effort and strain expended by caregivers which results in a reduction of the workers’ comp injuries. The HoverMatt® technology requires 90% less force than conventional products currently in use.

Recognized as the industry standard for safe patient lifting, the Hoverjack Air Pa-tient Liftallows caregivers to safely lift pa-tients who have fallen without gathering a lift team. TheHoverJack inflates to lift pa-tients from the floor to bed or stretcher height in a supine position, maximizing pa-tient comfort and minimizing the risk of in-jury to both patient and caregivers. And once the HoverJack lift is inflated, the HoverMatt air transfer mattress can be used with the same air supply unit for safe and easy lateral patient transfer to a bed or stretcher.

Reduce back injuries for nurses and caregivers. Minimize staff members needed to safely lift patients who have fallen. Lift height is controlled through four individual inflation chambers with self-sealing valves. Quick-release deflation valves lower the patient if needed.
