Benefits News Preventive Services for Employees on Florida Blue Medical PlanDid you know Baptist
wellness benefits have no
co-pay when you see an
in-network physician for your annual preventive visit
or screening? This includes annual physicals, annual
well-woman visits, mammograms, prostate screenings,
immunizations and diagnostic colonoscopies, just
to name a few. Baptist covers all of the cost. With
summer approaching, now may be a good time to
schedule an appointment for yourself and covered
dependents on your medical plan.
Locating Out-of-State ProvidersIf you are outside the state of Florida and need to
locate a participating provider, simply call the number
on the back of your Florida Blue member ID card or

Baptist Nassau Thank You, Jonah Medders If you enjoy our Auxiliary Park, you’ve probably
noticed the sturdy new benches there, a gift from
Jonah Medders, who is the son of Traci Medders,
our lead mammography technologist. Last summer,
Jonah was looking for a community service project
to do as a part of earning his Eagle Scout award. He
noticed the benches in the park were getting old and
wearing out, so he checked with the Auxiliary and
Plant Facilities to get permission to replace them. He
worked through the summer to build new benches.
Eagle Scout is the highest honor that a young man can
attain in Boy Scouts of America. Jerrie Moore, Imaging
& Cardiopulmonary director, stated, “I am so proud
of Jonah and so thankful that he thought of Baptist
Nassau for his project.”
