Friday is Senior Night! Bring your spirit Lancer Nation and help
us make this a night they will always remember.
PILLOWS OF THANKS
Each week throughout the season, the cheerleaders
have been surprising our seniors with gifts. Last week,
it was the seniors chance to give back, thanking them
with these awesome, fluffy pillows.

COMEDY NIGHT
We had a big crowd for our first ever comedy night. Quick
whitted comedian Mike Whitman opened the show, followed
by Tony V. The Lancer Football team’s feeding habits were
the subject of Tony’s opening
material. Noone was immune,
including the audience and the
photographer. Tony V. left us
with this gem – always
remember where you put your
pants.

CONGRATULATIONS LADY LANCERS
We all knew our cheerleaders were awesome, but now the world knows too.
Londonderry Varsity Cheer took 1st place and Junior Varsity Cheer took 2nd place
at Cheer Madness this past weekend.
WILDCATS MAKE HISTORY

football teams have advanced to the NH AYF Tackle Football Playoffs! We are proud of our
future Lancers – go get ‘em Wildcats!

COACH’S SPOTLIGHT
Coach Russ Greenwood is the Assistant
Coach for the Freshmen Lancers. He is the
youngest member of the Londonderry staff,
joining them in 2016. Russ played football
for the Lancers from 2010 to 2014.
We put Greenwood on the spotlight with
these questions:
1. The freshmen have had a very successful season so far. What is the key to your success?
“Success comes from all the players. They
have learned what us coaches have tried to
teach them and they have executed it during
the game.”
2. What is one word or phrase that you hope the players would use to describe you?
“One word I hope the kids would use to describe me would be passionate. I love coaching football and I love
Londonderry football. Mainly Because I played for Londonderry I want to see us succeed at every level.”
3. Who has the best nickname on the team?
“I have to say the best nickname is Coach Bombs (Coach Bombardier)” FYI Coach Bombs did not tell us to print that
PERFORMANCE TIP OF THE WEEK
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act,
but a habit." Aristotle
We talk a lot about creating a winning culture and what that takes. We’ve
given examples of the “little things” over the last several newsletters that
need to become habit. These habits create the future as they drive the
certain expectations and behaviors that create “culture”. What are some
other habits that create a winning culture?

Football Highlights
It is unsettling to know we didn't play our best game
Friday night. We will play Salem in consecutive
weeks. Both teams are familiar with each other as we
play each other every year.
We have to
improve on
some things
before we
enter the
playoffs in a
little over a
week
The JV Lancers got their 6th win
of the year in comeback fashion.
The Lancers scored 19 straight
points after being down 6 in the
second half. This brought the
final score to 33-20.
The team showed
great resilience and
never gave up.
The defense came up with
crucial turnovers and stops
when it matter and the
offense some produced
explosive plays.
The final JV game is Saturday @ Salem.
After another good week of
practice the Freshman Lancers
handled Nashua South in their last
home game of the season. Coming
in we knew what needed to be
done to win this game. The offense
wanted to go fast and wear them
down from the beginning. The
defense was flying around and
playing aggressive, causing two
turnovers and making a big fourth
down stand on the first drive of the
game.
These kids told the
coaches at the beginning
of the season that they
wanted to be a part of
something special this
year.
This Thursday we look to finish what we started
in Salem at 4pm.
