Bank Note Press is one of the nine units under the “Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited” (SPMCIL), a Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise Company, wholly owned by Government of India, incorporated on 13.01.2006 under the Companies Act, 1956 with the objective of designing, manufacturing/printing security documents, currency and bank notes, non-judicial stamp papers, minting of coins, postage stamps, etc. SPMCIL is under the administrative control of Ministry of Finance with its Registered and Corporate Office at Jawahar Vyapar Bhavan, Janpath, New Delhi. It has four Minting Units at Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Noida, four Currency/Security Printing Presses at Nashik, Dewas and Hyderabad besides a high quality paper manufacturing Mill at Hoshangabad. The educational qualifications, experience and age limits

prescribed for the posts are as under: -

1. Supervisor:- (Printing/Workshop) S-1 Level (Mechanical-2, Electrical 2, Electronics-3, Computer -1):

ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

: :

First class Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering from Government recognised Institution/Directorate of Technical Education of respective States. (i) With 2 years post qualification industrial experience in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering in the relevant field OR (ii) Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer engineering shall be preferred.

2 Supervisor (Research & Laboratory) S-1 Level :

ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

: :

First Class M.Sc. in Organic or Physical Chemistry. With 2 years Post qualification experience in Research and Analysis of Printing Inks/ Paints/ Allied Production shall be preferred.

3 Junior Office Assistant (W-3 Level) – Clerical Staff: ESSENTIAL

DESIRABLE

: :

First Class Graduate in any discipline. With ‘O’ Level certificate course of Computers and exposures to multifarious office functions which include Finance, Accounts, HR, Purchase & Stores shall be preferred.

4 Printing Assistant (W-1 Level) : ESSENTIAL : First Class ITI/National Apprenticeship

Certificate in Offset or Letterpress Printing from Government recognised institution.

DESIRABLE

: With 2 years post qualification industrial experience OR Diploma in Printing Technology shall be preferred.

5 Printing Assistant (Electroforming & Waterwiping) (W-1 Level) :

ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

: :

First Class ITI in Electroplating Engineering from Government recognised institution. (i) With 2 years post qualification industrial experience in the relevant field OR (ii) Degree with Chemistry/Diploma in Electroplating Engineering from Govt. recognised institution shall be preferred.

6 Maintenance Assistant (Fork Lift) (W-1 Level) ESSENTIAL : First Class ITI Certificate from

Government recognised institution in Motor Mechanic trade and having valid driving licence for heavy vehicles.

DESIRABLE : (i) With 2 years post qualification industrial experience in the relevant field OR (ii) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering having valid Driving Licence for heavy vehicles shall be preferred.

Age Limit : For Sl. No. 1 to 6 : 30 Years as on 31-08-2009 (Relaxable

in the case of Government Servants as per orders and instruction issued by the Central Government and up to 40 years in respect of departmental candidates) 5 years relaxation in the case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates.

How to apply 1. The application should be submitted in the proforma given in

the advertisement, preferably type written. 2. The outer cover should be subscribed as “ APPLICATION FOR THE

3. A non-refundable Bank Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- drawn in

favour of Deputy General Manager & HOD, Bank Note press payable at Dewas (M.P.) is to be enclosed. Candidates are advised to write their name and position on the reverse side of the DD. No application fee needs to be paid by the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically challenged category.

4. The application should be accompanied with attested copies of

certificates in support of educational qualification, age and experience. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC should furnish the attested copy of the certificate issued by the Competent Authority to that effect. OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates are also required to submit a self-undertaking to that effect.

5. Duly completed application should be sent to the Dy. General

Manager & HOD, Bank Note Press, Dewas-455001 through registered/speed post by 30th September, 2009. Applications received late/ incomplete will be rejected. Bank Note Press Management will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss of documents during transit.

GENERAL 1. Presently the scales are on Central DA Pattern but shall

be changed to Industrial D.A. Patterns.

2. The posts notified shall be increased/ decreased as per the need/ requirement. The recruitment process can be cancelled/suspended/ terminated without assigning any reasons. The decision of the management will be final and no appeal will be entertained.

3. Candidates should have registered their names with the

nearest Employment Exchange and should submit their applications direct to the Dy. General Manager & HOD , Bank Note Press, Dewas (M.P.) 455 001 quoting Employment Exchange

Registration number, if any. If applying for more than one post, separate application should be submitted for each post.

4. Second Class Railway fare from the nearest Railway Station by

train or bus fare, if the stations are not connected by Rail, shall be reimbursed to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes candidates coming from places 30 K.M. away provided they produce necessary cash receipt/ rail ticket or bus tickets in support of their claims.

5. The Dy. General Manager & HOD reserves right to call only

those candidates, who according to his decision suitable for the post and mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview or selection. In case more number of applications are received the Dy. General Manager & HOD reserves the right to restrict/ short list the candidates to be called for written test/ interview. The decision of the Dy. General Manager & HOD in this regard shall be final.

6. Those already working Central Government /State Government/

PSU /Corporation must apply through proper channel in the prescribed form. The place of posting shall be normally Dewas (M.P.) but transferable to any Units under SPMCIL (Hoshangabad/ Nashik/Delhi/Noida/Mumbai/ Kolkata/ Hyderabad).

7. Application that are not in conformity with the requirements

indicated in this advertisement, incomplete application and those received after the last date as also, applications not accompanied with requisite demand draft will not be entertained.

8. For all posts there shall be written/practical test i.e. (i)

General Knowledge (ii) General English/Maths (iii) Aptitude test (iv) Computer knowledge and (v) Technical skill in relevant field and practical test wherever necessary. Those passing the minimum marks prescribed by the Committee shall be allowed to appear in the personal Interview.

9. Those candidates qualified in the written test, are required

to attend the interview on the following day, accordingly they should come prepared.

10. The candidates recruited at S-1 Level shall be construed as

non-unionized supervisors as per Factories Act and shall not be entitled to Overtime being supervisors. Further they will not be covered in the existing Incentive Scheme of Bank Note Press-but after the change over to IDA pattern of pay

scales as applicable to PSUs, these categories will be eligible for incentive as per the DPE guidelines.
