beaches. You can spend hours on the Om Beach enjoying seafood delicacies and chilled beer. If you want to cut the crowd out completely, you can head to Half-moon and Paradise beaches, where you’ll find shacks that cater to any kind of food craving you may have.

MURUDESHWARLocated in Bhatkal, Murudeshwar is another name for Lord Shiva. It is famous for having the world’s second tallest Shiva statue and the Murudeshwar temple. The calm small town feel that Murudeshwar has, makes it a perfect weekend getaway. If you’re a diving enthusiast, don’t miss a visit to the nearby Nethrani Island, where you can spot coral, beautiful fishes and other underwater marvels.

PONDICHERRYPondicherry is a beach town near Chennai, famous for its French quarters, beautiful coastline, Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville and exquisite food options. It has some beautiful beaches perfect for relaxing and family vacation. Don’t go with a Goa-like expectation as Pondicherry has a more quieter, warmer vibe. by the sea in a peaceful location head to South Goa, and the beaches their will satiate your interest - Palolem, Majorda, Varca, Cavelossim, Colva, Benaulim, Agonda. However, if you’re a party person, head to North Goa and you can spend a couple of days in the crowded Baga & Calangute. But do make time to visit Arambol, Ashvem and Candolim beaches, too, that have some of the most trendy hangouts. And the food that you get at the restaurants here is scrumptious.
