Participants: 50 participants (from 5 countries)

Objectives of the project
Aim:
Starting from these premises and acknowledging that 2015 is the
European Year of Development, the main aim of this project is to promote the
values of sustainable development, peace and security, solidarity and mutual
respect among people, eradication of poverty and protection of human rights,
values highlighted in the Treaty of Lisbon, among youth. Moreover, this project
seeks to develop participants attitudes, skills and knowledge on cooperation
and participation.
Objectives:
1. Bringing together 50 young people from four countries that will
cooperate and foster their understanding and knowledge on the issue of global
sustainable development and European role in the global framework during the
main activity.

2. Developing a youth sustainable development toolkit (a blog with five
articles on the daily topics, facebook and twitter channels, two video messages
on how European youth can get involved as global citizens) that will be
available on the project's website and disseminated among 1000 European
citizens in the first month after the exchange.
3. Promoting youth informal and non-formal engagement by
broadcasting two public online conferences with at least one participant from
each country on the European values and youth involvement in the field of
global sustainable development.
4. Promoting common intergenerational and international solutions
provided by young people to the challenges of development, fostering
cooperation between different cultures for the participants.

Partner Organizations
The next organizations are involved as partners in this project:
1. Bulgarian Youth Community – Bulgaria – 10 persons (8 participants + 2
group leaders);
2. Ihnilates Tou Fotos – Greece – 10 persons (8 participants + 2 group
leaders);
3. EquaMente – Associazionale Culturale e di Solidarieta – Italy – 5 persons
(4 participants + 1 group leaders);
4. Associazione Culturale Pro.m.e.t.EU.s – Italy - 5 persons (4 participants +
1 group leader);
5. The International Humanist and Ethical Union – Turkey – 10 persons (8
participants + 2 group leaders).

Participants’ Profile
Every group consists of 4 young participants aged 18 to 25 and 1 group
leader that can be up to 30 years. There are countries with organizations that
will send 2 groups (Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Romania) and organizations from
one country that will send each 1 group (case of Italy).
Requirements for the selection of participants:
To complete the selection form attached;
To respect gender equality and gender distribution;
Each group2 has to have at least one participant with fewer
opportunities (social obstacles, cultural differences,
economic obstacles).
If you need more advice/support in the process of selection of the
participants, you can contact us and, as soon as possible, we will reply and we
will find a common agreement.
Financial Support
The accommodation, meals and activities costs will be supported by the
host organization through the Erasmus+ grant from European Commission.
Related to the travel grant, according to Erasmus Plus Programme Guide,
we will reimburse the travel cost/person3, following the Erasmus+ grant
scheme:
o Bulgaria: 80 EUR;
o Greece: 80 EUR;
o Italy: 170 EUR;
o Romania: 80 EUR;
o Turkey: 80 EUR.
We recommend you to search for the most cost-efficient transport way (by
train, by car, bus, etc.) being given the distances in some cases. !Make sure
that you that you keep the invoices, boarding passes and other documents

Related to the visa costs during the exchange for Turkish participants, the
can reimburse up to 60 EUR/person. Please keep the invoices for
reimbursements.
Local Transport
The local transport to/from activities during the programme will be
provided soon, after announcing the location.
Visas
For Turkish participants, each of them has to obtain the visa (60 euro/
visa per participant will be reimbursed).

Expected competences developed by the participants:
Increased level of knowledge of awareness and knowledge
on sustainable development;

Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship competences;
Cultural awareness and expression competences4;
Leadership and team coordination.
At the end of the project, the competences acquired by the participants
will be certified through YouthPass Certificate and European Language
Passport. Also, the participants will understand how to use the Europass CV.
