Tri-Temp blades are manufactured from high carbon alloy steel.Through a special heat treating process, a spring temperedhardness is given to the back of the blade. This quality allowsthe blade to be given more tension for added rigidity, resultingin straighter cuts and accuracy in contour cutting. Its greatertensile strength allows heavier feeds and provides longer bladelife for production cutting. Tri-Temp is not recommended to berun at speeds over 4,000 feet per minute. For added versatilityand performance, we recommend the original varied pitchBroach and Posi Tooth blades.

CARBONHARD EDGE, FLEX BACK

A hard edge, flexible back blade for horizontal cut-offmachines, and contour and straight cutting on vertical bandsaw machines. Its economical cost makes it a good choice forcutting “easy to machine” metals, wood, plastics and othermaterials that do not require high production blades. Carbonis a light duty production blade that is well suited for machineswith small wheel diameters.

Highly recommended for straight and contour cutting of wood, flake board, plastic, nonferrous materials, etc. Absence ofraker teeth gives a third more cutting edges for additional blade life and abrasion resistance.

FRICTION

A special silicon carbon steel with good abrasion resistance andfatigue life is used for the manufacture of friction cutting blades.Friction cutting is accomplished by running the band saw bladeat high speed (8,000-15,000 sfpm). The high frictional heat cre-ated allows the blade to burn or melt away the material and thesaw teeth remove the molten metal from the work piece. Verythin or odd-shaped metals may be successfully cut by frictionsawing when conventional methods fail.

X-TRA DUTY .032™

Heavy duty for wood, metal and the furniture industries. Ahard edge, flexible back blade with extra thickness (.032) forextra rigidity, strength and blade life. Widely used by thewoodworking industries, especially furniture manufacturers.Also used on aluminum, magnesium, brass, etc. X-tra Duty.032™ is manufactured with a Hook tooth design and isavailable in 1/4”, 3/8" and 1/2” widths. Not recommendedfor machines that take a 15’ band or less.

The Knife Edge produces little downward drag so there is no tearing during thecut, producing an excellent finish. TIMBER MASTER TK™ B M42 Bi-Metal

This is the ultimate cutting tool for resawing hard andabrasive wood species. The precision ground cuttingsurfaces provide fast, smooth cuts. As in all mill typeoperations, for optimum life, care must be taken to besure the wood is free from metal contaminants, such asnails, fence wire, bullets, etc.

This is an excellent heavy duty blade for production woodcutting. A hardness of 68-69 Rc on the tooth edge provideslong blade life, especially for cutting abrasive, exotic woodspecies. As in all mill type operations, for optimum life, caremust be taken to be sure the wood is free from metal contami-nants, such as nails, fence wire, bullets, etc.

The TIMBER MASTER TK™ band saw blade collection covers a wide range of wood cutting applications. All blades are madeof overwidth stock, which gives higher beam strength for fast, true cuts. All blades are factory set and delivered “ready-to-run”out of the box. Any TIMBER MASTER TK™ blade can be resharpened for extended life and optimal cost effectiveness.

CIRCULAR SAW BLADESAll Sterling® circular tungsten carbide tipped saw blades have a micrograin cobalt binder with a small amount of titanium for added cutting life.They are ground to very exact tolerances for optimum performance andtool life. All blades are resharpenable.

Ferrous and nonferrous metal cutting blades cut with fewer burrs and less heat than abrasive blades, there is no need forsecondary finish grinding. The modified triple chip grind resists material build up on the tooth allowing for longer lifebetween resharpenings.
