The repertoire is a mix of instrumental and vocal songs, more than half of which is original material written by the band. The group features Matt Robinson on mandolin, Butch Sanders on drums, Lavinia Reid on violin, Jeff Kauffman on guitar, and Bill Unger on bass. Influences include David Grisman, Joe Craven, Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli, Irvin Berlin, and Louis Armstrong, to name a few, and the sound is reminiscent of these artists. The Gypsy Ramblers are a great cross-over band for anyone that enjoys bluegrass, jazz, and other popular forms of American music. They are comfortable playing any venue and especially well-suited for music festivals, theaters, breweries, wineries, and eateries.
