Panglima Awang the hero

Panglima Awang struggled to free Malacca from the Portuguese. Panglima Awang was a brave warrior of Malacca. When he saw what the Portuguese were doing to the people of Malacca, he decided to fight them. He did not want to be under the control of foreigners who came to exploit his country. However, despite his bravery, he was captured and taken prisoner aboard Admiral Alfonso’s ship. He was tortured and later, transferred to Captain Fernando’s ship. He was taken to Portugal as a slave. Awang and Fernando became good friends and he was freed…………………….
