Mehsana from 10th march 1966 with this grass-root by the
registration of the milk union under co –operative act 31st
January 1969 as “ banaskantha district o-operative
milk producers union limited ” palanpur popularly known as
“BANAS DAIRY ”come in to existence.

PRODUCT PLANNING
Product planning is very essential for any firm. In firm like as Dairy Industries.they must have better product planning as number of product are more. Banas Dairy everyday receives 8.5lakhs litters milk as raw material so they have better production planning. After receiving raw materials then it is checked in laboratory departmentAnd then it go for pasteurized @ after then various milk product are made from that raw milk. After production is over these are sent to GCMMF. ANAND. That is to be marketed by them and other products, which are marketed by the dairy, send to various distributors of Banas Dairy. Banas dairy is able to process 10.5 lakh liters of milk per day having total production capacity of manufacturing. The “banas dairy” prodces different types of product manufacturing in the factory plant their some example of this company’s products are given below

The work done by company is playing more important role in the development of the country. The company also tries to develop new product for the daises. Which can helpful in the social development in the region.

Milk Banas Dairy produced three types of milk as per under.

The milk packing process is under. The pouch packing is done through the electronics machine. In machine there are various days with capacity if 500gr.Of milk from the machine. The packing material comes automatically @ equal level of the milk is filled in it then by cylinder it is packed then by employees it is packed in the caret. The speed of the machine is 45 pouch per hour. Continuous of machine is 14 hour. The capacity of the machine is 50000 pouches per day.

MILK POWDER
In the milk powder production the milk is taken from the balance tank @ sugar @ other material are added in it. Then the milk is heated in the vaccine and it is sprayed by hot at a high temperature because of it, the milk is converted into the powder. Then the powder is tested in the laboratory. After testing it is stored in storage for limited time. After that it is packed and in storage from the storage the powder is directly dispatched.

GHEE In the production process of ghee, this butter is heated in molding wet. After this process is the butter is boiled in ghee cattle. Then ghee is taken in butane tank and then presenting tank for cooling down. After the ghee is cleared it is taken into the setting tank. After the testing of the ghee it is packed in packing department then it is stored in the storage the ghee is directly dispatched in the van

In butter production first of all separated cream is taken from cream tank than it is tested. After testing the cream color is added as per requirement in churning machine. After the moisture test is taken of the butter. Then it is tested that butter is standard or not. Then final moisture test is taken. After this. Butter is kept in the trolley for taking it to the packing department. After packing. The butter is stored in the cold storage @ is dispatched in the refrigerated van.

Quality control is most important for milk industry since. milk is most perishable item. BANAS Dairy has separate item Banas has separate quality control management under the prevention of food adulteration @ milk products order packed commodities ruler. And the dairy manages the quality by T.Q.M (Total quality management). System moreover the acquired ISO 9002@ HACCP for good system is good then ultimately the quality of the product will also he good.

The office time of the unit it 10:30to 6:00p.m. And for production department there are three shift as follow
8.00am to 4.00pm. 4.00am to 1.00pm. 1.00am to 8.00pm.

PRICING POLICY Price is always considered first when people purchased any product. Price
must be as compared to its quality. Any products having price@law qualtiy can’t survive
in the market for long time.
Banas dairy has also its own pricing policy. First dairy receives raw milk
so charges of that raw milk are considered and then it includes production cost as
consumption of labours electricity is there and variable cost is allowed to be considered.
