What do the Bald Eagle look like?

The bald Eagle has a blackish brown back, and a white head, neck, and tail. They have yellow feet and a yellow bill, and a newborn’s egg is a very light grey.They are light grey colored and the adult has brown feathers.

What does the Bald Eagle eat?

Bald eagles mainly eat fish, but will also eat carrion and food stolen from garbage in winter. They also eat rabbits, mice, deer, sea otters and crabs. They usually eat chewed up food like worms rodents and snakes.

Where does the Bald Eagle live?

The bald eagle is a raptor(bird of prey) that lives in North American forests, swamps, wetlands, lakes, and rivers. They will also roam most of Canada, Alaska, much of the contiguous United States, and Northern Mexico.

How does the Bald Eagle protect itself?

The bald eagle has a razor sharp beak and with that razor sharp beak It can pick up fish very easily. They have very very sharp claws and they use that for defense.

How do Bald Eagles raise their babies?

They breed and sit on them when they are still in the egg, and when they hatch the mom and dad take turns feeding them and find food for them. And when the eagles and ready the mom and dad eagles will teach the baby bird how to fly.

What are some other interesting facts?

Bald eagles wings are 3 to 4 ft. long per wing. And their body is 4 to 10 ft. long. Their claws are 40 in. long. A bald eagle can live up to 20-40 years old. A female

bald eagle can be as tall as 35-37 in. and the male bald eagle can get up to 30-34

in tall. Bald eagles aren’t really bald, there are covered with white feathers. Originally the bald eagle was called a "blade eagle". In Old English, "blade"

meant white.
