From the Hostel Diary
“Ye safar tha suhana
Ise sametne ko jee chahta h
Firse jeene ko jee chahta h
Woh Warden ka darr
Late nights aur nightouts k pange
Jo hamei hi padh jate the mehenge
Cultural committee ka meeting k liye chillana
Fir bhi hamara usme aur late Jana
Aunty ka gudia gudia pukarna
Mess menu k discussion pr ma'am ka 90 RS Wala funda
Jo hamei aaj tk samajh na aaaya
Subah 8:50 uthna taki brkfast miss na ho jaye
Extra gulab jamun mangna aur
Dosa k liye lambi line Mei lgna dosto k sath masti aur raat ko
Shor hone pr guard aunty ki daant
Woh padmavati ki raatei aur sabki choti-choti baatein
Yaad aayenge hostel k festivals aur
Ye choti si family.....!!!
Kaash hum rok skte in lamho ko Pr
Beet jayenge ye pal bhi Aur
Reh jayengi toh bas kuch sunheri yaadeinnnnn!”
- Palak Bansal
“Gathering in one room for discussions and
celebrations, countless sleepless nights,
special way of celebrating birthdays and
festivals, banging the doors in search of some
food, converting late nights into night outs
and opening accounts in night canteen during
the exams are some experiences that you can
only wish to have again.”
-Manish Jain
From the Hostel Diary
“I will miss not only the friends I made, but
also the people working behind the scenes.
Panditji in our first year who was so sweet
to us and treated us like his own daughters;
Bharti aunty who scolds us when we miss
breakfast in the mornings or do not let her
clean our room ('cause we are always late
for college, duh); and all the others who
make The Hostel ‘a home away from
home.’”
-Neha Agrawal
“Before joining this hostel, 'HOSTEL' was like a nightmare
for me because the things which I heard about hostel was
ragging, like a jail, spoiled mess food and so many things.
But after joining and staying for 3 years in the hostel my
perception has totally changed towards hostel. In short
hostel is like a mini life for me because you meet new guys
here and some of them become your best friends for your
life. Hostel teaches us to adjust, have fun with discipline
and the most important thing how to enjoy life. Your pain
becomes your power when 72 persons are with you. In 3
years of my hostel life I have learnt so many things from
seniors, batch mates and juniors too. For outsiders hostel
is a jail and for insiders it's a different world. At last I
finish with two lines:
PEOPLE COME, PEOPLE GO,
BUT HOSTEL STAYS FOREVER.”
