Speakers» Mehmet Gökhan AY graduated from the Anadolu University, Public Management faculty. Previously he studied at the Technical High School and started to work in electronical and computerised communication related fields. Mehmet started to work in the Insurance Arbitration Commission in 2009, as IT Manager, since 2014. He is Deputy Director in charge of Informatics and Data Processing Department as well as Finance and Administration Departments.

» Berk BACAKOĞLU is known as an experienced, disciplined and highly-motivated Chief Information Officer who has worked in Telecom, Finance and Insurance industries. AbBank, Turkcell, Bt-Group It Corp, Acibaden Heakthcare Group are some of his career’s milestones. Berk has a bachelor degree in computer engineering from Bilkent University and an MBA degree from the Yeditepe University.

» Alex DENTON - After nearly twenty years in banking as a market analyst Alex moved into healthcare insurance working for AXA PPP International, underwriting and managing large accounts. Currently he is working for AXA Global Healthcare as their Reinsurance Partnerships Development Manager covering the EMEA regions and Central Asia.

» Tudor GALOS is a versatile, award-winning, Marketing Director with a growth-hacking attitude, with more than 14 years of experience in marketing management roles ranging from product marketing to marketing communications management, digital marketing and channel marketing, category management in both local and regional positions. Currently he runs a boutique consulting company, helping companies expand or develop new businesses or startups, pitch for RFPs or funding and be fully compliant to GDPR.

» Daniela GHETU has been a part of XPRIMM’s team since May 1999, being one of the architects of the actual editorial and research programs that she currently coordinates. She has in-depth knowledge of the CEE insurance markets, having extensive expertise in market analysis and consultancy, corporate partnership development, international markets, publishing and editorial management. Daniela’s articles were published by several European industry magazines.

» Catherine HOCK joined ICMIF as Vice-President, International Relations in early 2013 after five years with AMICE, the European association as Deputy Director General. She has fifteen years of experience in financial services and started lobbying the EU institutions in 2000 while working for the Belgian Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Her involvement in foreign affairs started in 1988 when she joined the United Nations working in New York, Vienna and Angola.

» Gepa JANSEN-KLAUS has been in charge of Russia and the CIS markets as Senior Client Manager at Swiss Re Europe S.A. for 8 years already. Besides traditional reinsurance business her tasks include the development of new products and modern ways of sales for these markets. Gepa’s career started at two major German insurance companies, but after 7 years she changed to the reinsurance side. In Swiss Re, Gepa’s career on various European markets measures already 20 years.

» Asif JOHN - Asif has about 20 years of experience in the Insurance and Re-Insurance sector. A qualified actuary, he is the CEO of AMJ Global Solutions Group and is on a mission to disrupt the Insurance market using data science, machine learning and AI. In his free time Asif chairs the IFOA data science committee and contributes to the management of a Pan-Japanese restaurant and Shisha lounge in London.

» Vasilis KATSIPIS has been with A.M. Best for the last 10 years, having joined the company as a managing senior financial analyst and growing to the position of general manager, analytics for EMEA. Prior to joining A.M. Best, Vasilis was responsible for alternative distribution channels for GE Insurance Solutions.

» Fuad KULIYEV graduate of Azerbaijan Medical University and also of financial Faculty of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, holding a Certificate of Chartered Insurance Institute and a vast experience on the Russian insurance market. In the insurance business since 2002, he worked, prior to 2011, as Deputy Chairman of the Board of “Standard Insurance”, Azerbaijan.

» Orkhan MAMMADOV graduated from London School of Economics and Political Science in Master’s in Management Degree in 2015. Previously, he got Bachelor and Master’s degree from Azerbaijan State Economic University in International Economic Relations in 2006. Mr. Mammadov has been working in insurance sector since 2006, successively holding various top management positions in different companies. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK since 2009 and a holder of Cert CII degree.

» Seymur MIRZAYEV has been a Head specialist at the Compulsory Insurance Bureau since 2013. He has graduate the Azerbaijan State University of Economics - UNEC in 2012, with a bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations.

» Alla MYGASHKO, a reinsurance broker with 20 years of experience, joined AON in Ukraine in 2006, being responsible for treaty reinsurance activity. In 2011, she moved to the AON Prague office, becoming in charge of the CIS (except Russia) operations. Her professional interests focus on multiline program placement and business development activity. She has an engineering diploma from the Kiev Technological Institute of light industry and various professional qualifications in reinsurance, broking and management.

» Dashdamir NIFTALIYEV - Dashdamir is a graduate of the Ulüdag University. His career went across several fields of activity, so he became an experienced Marketing and Sales manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Information services, Automotive industry, Insurance and Bank services.

» Michael THEILMEIER has a Master’s Degree in Law and Business Management and over 30 years of experience in the insurance field. He worked for well-known insurance companies and recently retired from Gen Re, one of the world’s largest reinsurance companies, within which he served as Senior Vice President (Business Unit Treaty Europe). In 2015 THEILMEIER was appointed Chairman of the German Association of Insurers - GDV Committee for Central and Eastern Europe, Berlin / Germany.

» Menekşe UCAROGLU started her professional activity as Reinsurance Responsible for MERKEZ Sigorta. Throughout her career, she occupied various executive and management positions, including Technical Manager at TÜRK Nippon and OYAK Sigorta, as well as Deputy General Manager at İSVIÇRE Sigorta and FINANS Sigorta. She has been the CEO of İstanbul Underwriting Center since 2006.
