Last holiday, my brother and I visited our grandparents in Bandar Lampung.There are many toudst destinations, such as museum, shores, water park, zoo, and WayKambas. During our visit, we decided to go to Way Kambas, the Elephant TrainingCentre. We wanted to watch the huge animals playing football.

Way Kambas is situated in East Lampung, about 110 km from Bandar Lampung,the capital city of Lampung. It took 3 hours for us to reach Way Kambas from ourgrandparents' home. We left early in the moming at 6 a.m. by car. It would take longer togo there by motorcycle or bus.

We were lucky to visit the place on the weekend, because the elephant footballshow is only held on weekends. The show was great. It was amazing to see such biganimals running and kicking the ball. The ball was larger than the one used in regularfootball. After that we watched other attractions. My Brother had a ride on the biganimals, but I didn't. I was too nervous to do it.

At 4 p.m., we returned to Bandar Lampung. We were very tired, but impressed. Itwas really an interesting experience for us. I hope you can visit it too in the fut'rre. Bythe way, how was your holiday?

Manik Angkeran heard that his father got some jewels from a dragon that live inMount Agung. So he stole his father's bell.and went there. When he anived at MountAgung, Manik Angkeran rang the bell. The dragon knew him. It gave him some jewels.Suddenly he had a bad idea. He wanted to kill the dragon and stole all its jewelleries.The dragon knew his plan and it killed Manik Angkeran. Sidi Mantra was very sad. FIeasked the dragon to bring his son back to life. The dragon agreed, with one condition,they had to live in a separated places. When, Manik Angkeran came alive, Sidi Mantradraw a line between them on the ground. From the line, water flowed out. Soon itbecame a river. Finally it became a strait and separated Java from Bali. The Songkan festival is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year's Day.It is celebrated from 13 to 15 April. However, the most famous Songkan celebrations are still in the northem city ofChiang Mai, where it lasts for six days and even longer. It has also become a party forforeigners and an additional reason for tourists to visit Thailand. The most obviouscelebration of Songkran is the throwing of water to other people. Thais roam the streetswith containers of water or water guns. In addition, many Thais will have small bowls ofcheap beige coloured talc and mixed with water which is then smeared on the faces andbodies of random passersby as a blessing for the new year. Besides the tkowing of water, people celebrate Songkran by going to a wat(Buddhist monastery) to pray and give food to monks.
